Xyla
Her beat up old truck crawled to a stop as her eyes shifted focus to the barn where her horses were kept. She couldn't stop a smile from carving its way onto her lips. Each day was something new with them, and it kept her spark growing. She did find herself in slight fear of her mare, but knew she had to power through it. If she showed the slightest fear the mare would walk all over her in a heartbeat. The youthful blond unclipped herself from the seat belt and shifted to step out of the dirty truck. She never had found time to give it a good wash down. She focused on the barn as she took each step towards it. Her smile still beamed bright as the morning sun as she wandered to Mystic's stall. She looked into the appy cross' stall, holding back a laugh as she saw he was still napping. The stud never ceased to amuse her. She reached a hand in when he noticed her, rubbing his face gingerly and cooing nonsense to him. She finally moved away to grab his morning feed. She slipped into his stall, bucket in hand. She hung it up and just settled to rub on him while he ate, taking in everything about him. She was aware she had to feed Mania still, but decided to push it off a few more minutes while she got some snuggle time with her love bug of a stallion. As he quickly finished his bucket of food she grabbed his halter and lead line off his stall door and began hooking him up. She looked at the big stud and decided she'd take him on a walk while she took care of her other horse. She measured out her mare's ration and hay. They walked out to the paddock where the aggressive mare was kept, Xyla standing tall and authoritative. She put the bucket of grain in and tossed the hay in for her. However, as the mare charged and Mystic startled her authoritative nature faded a bit. She held Mystic's lead rope tight as she spoke "Woah, boy! It's ok! Calm down!" She was able to talk him down, but just barely. A sigh escaped her lips as she just looked around, kind of hoping no one saw.
Mystic
The large appaloosa cross stud laid in his stall, covered in shavings from a night of rolling around like the goof he is. He was napping when Xyla first arrived, waking to see her he lifted his head and let out a loud whinny of a greeting. He stumbled up to his hooves and went to receive his pets from her. He eyed her leaving, knowing it lead to food. As she hung his bucket up he began scoffing his feed down. He tolerated her cuddles since she was letting him eat. He licked every small crumb from the bucket and ensured nothing was left he turned to nuzzle her. The stallion allowed her to halter him and gladly followed her out of the small box he was trapped in. He perked his ears as she got more food from the magical food room. As he followed her out to the paddocks, he tried many times to snatch a bite. After a few scoldings he did stop trying, just looking around at everything. He still hadn't met any new people here, as he was still fairly new. His mind was distracted until he was jarred by Mania's attack at the fence. He pinned his ears and quickly swung his butt around in defense, throwing a kick in her direction to try to warn her off. He gave a squeal or two and kicked a few more times, just riled up by the attack. Though his mind shifted to Xyla and he eventually came down from his fit, going to stand away from Mania as he didn't want to be startled again.
Lucifer
The angry mare paced her paddock, running the same path she did every single day. The ground had a worn dirt path from where her hooves always hit. It was a cycle of defense, making sure no other equines or people neared her pen. She even chased birds out whenever they landed in her field. She threw her head around and charged the fence as she saw a horse approaching, not registering Xyla held the stallion. She hit the fence post and reached her head over, just able to bite his shoulder as he was distracted by something else. She shuffled back as he kicked, knowing he couldn't get her but she did it out of instinct. She threw her head again and went to the gate, biting and rattling it. She wanted nothing more than Xyla's full attention without that stallion in the way. As they moved away a bit she did go over to her feed and began sniffing it, not eating right away as she didn't feel safe enough to do so with the stud so close to her field. He eyes remained on him, awaiting his next move.
Johnnie
His name may be known, but his face was surely new. He had never been to the barn before today. His horses had been boarded for about a month, so they could get used to everything there before he arrived. He found himself drowning in things to finish before he arrived here. Today was the day, after a month away from his two beloved partners, he finally would get to meet everyone, and hopefully find himself making new friends. He exited his car, heading straight to the barn, paper in hand with the stall numbers for his equine buds. He decided to try to find Pharaoh and take him out for a ride. He turned and headed into the barn with a smile, looking around and taking mental notes of everything as he went, needing to learn where everything was.
Pharaoh
The jet black stallion, as he always did, stood in his stall away from the door. He was extremely well behaved, however he just isn't the social type. It was rare he even made a sound. The stallion, however, felt like a stable hand was running late since he finished his feed but was still in his stall. He turned himself around and hung his head out of the stall, looking and wondering why things were running late. He was unaware Johnnie returns today to take over.
