Plot

Welcome to Harlington Performing Arts Academy, where students aged from 16 to 20 attend classes in the discipline of their choosing, and after graduation, will be sure to have a wonderful career. At least, that's certainly the plan. But it won't be easy to get there. You will be worked hard, and pushed to your limits and beyond. If you want to make it, you have to balance your studies and social life well, and failing any class is not an option if you want to survive. But in the end, it's all worth it, right? Four years of hard work, blood, sweat and tears will make it all worth it when you see your name in lights, and you have a cheering audience that adores you. But not quite everyone will make it to that pedestal. You might work hard, but maybe it just won't be enough as someone else takes the spotlight from you. In this world, you're all out for yourselves when you all want the same thing - and not everyone is going to get it.

Additional Information
Each student takes one subject, and can specialise (if 18+) in a particular genre - if wanted. Only one speciality genre is allowed, but others can still be studied in free time/out of classes.

Dancers additionally cover lyrical and some partner dances, regardless of speciality. They will also have classes about maintaining good health for dance.

Actors will also learn of different techniques for both stage and screen acting, such as improv, method acting and the like, regardless of their speciality.

Singers are also expected to be song writers, and will take additional classes for this. They will also have classes about vocal techniques and how to keep their voice healthy.

Musicians can play more instruments outside of the specialist ones, but they can only select one to specialise in. They will also take song-writing classes, and are encouraged to form bands together.

All students, regardless of age and discipline will also have Mathematics and English classes, as well as having physical health checks each month to ensure they remain in good health.

The main building for Harlington Performing Arts Academy is a large, three-story building.
The ground floor has the foyer, library, canteen/cafeteria, medical room, dance studio 1, dance studio 2 and the auditorium.

The next floor up has dance studio 3, music room 1, music room 2, 5 solo practice rooms and a gym.

The top floor has two mathematics classrooms, two English classrooms, music room 3 and dance studio 4.

There is also a second building - the dormitories. There are several dorms, each with a main living area and four bedroomsthat each have their own bathroom.

For ease, characters will automatically be assigned a dormitory after their form is posted and complete. More dorms will be added, if needed.

It's a Saturday morning, around 8 a.m., about halfway through the school year.

For most people, the weekend would be a time to relax. For Leo, however, it meant extra rehearsal and practice. He'd been awake since six, had his breakfast and was out of his dorm by seven. This was his last year here, at Harlington Performing Arts Academy, and he was more determined than ever to push himself to his limits and beyond, to get the recognition and stardom that he was destined for. He already had a few companies interested in him once he graduated, so he knew that he was all set. But just knowing that he had a promised career was not good enough for him. He had to keep working. Which was why he was in the smallest of the dance studios, going over a solo dance piece that he'd choreographed himself.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that Nicholas has been awake for a few hours already, when in actuality, he'd only been awake for one hour. This was because he looked very much awake and ready to start to day, and his outfit was - as it usually was on him - impeccable. Nicholas was sat in the cafeteria on his own, with a cup of dairy-free caramel latte, and some breakfast that consisted of toast with marmalade, scrambled eggs (made with a dairy-free milk) and a small bowl of salad. For the time being, since he was alone, he was scrolling through his social media - but if he looked up and caught someone's eye, then he'd smile warmly towards them.

Vitali was awake and in the mini-kitchen of his dormitory, humming under his breath as he cooked large, American-style pancakes. He found this kind of pancake very interesting, as it was so thick. On the side, he'd set out maple syrup and butter, to be used as toppings for the pancakes. He was in a rather good, carefree mood as well. All of his assignments were up to date (of course), and he was working on his next song already, coming up with inspiration and lyrics.
Once Vitali was finished making them, and he'd stacked them all onto a plate, he called out, "Anyone awake? There are pancakes!"

Dawn:

Dawn woke up, looking around. She opened the door and went into her roommate's dorm. Nobody in there. "Huh?" she thought. "He's not here. Probably practicing. Again. And again." She walked to the cafeteria with her hair done and her outfit and saw Nicholas. "Oh, hi Nicholas!"

Audrey:

Audrey was awake early, drumming to the rhythm of the song she was working on. Finally, she finished. She went to get out of the solo practice room, and decided to go to wake her friend, Athena, up. She actually didn't know if she was awake or not, so she decided to get to her dorm. After Audrey unlocked the door, she ran straight in. She knocked on her room, banging it loudly. "Athena, are you awake?" she shouted out.

"Damon!" Jamie called as she brushed through her hair on her way to the door. "I'm heading to the cafeteria for breakfast, text me if you want anything!" She threw her brush onto the couch as she raced out the door, shutting it firmly behind her and keeping a brisk pace down the hallway as she pulled out her phone to check the campus map for the quickest way to the cafeteria. She had arrived at the school two days ago and she was still adjusting to where everything was. It was a small school, but that didn't make it any easier to navigate, with all of its small hallways and dead ends. She hadn't seen her brother yet, and she was beginning to wonder what was up. He hadn't been in Friday's vocal class, which she knew now that they shared beause the teacher called out his name from her roster. He was such a weird little nerd— she doubted he was skipping class. And, technically, he wasn't, because the teacher quickly amended her mistake, saying he was in the nurse for a day, but when Jamie checked the office, he wasn't there either. Strange.
Oh well. She sighed as she entered the busy yet quaint, cafe-style cafeteria. She never really had a problem socializing, but she also was never so nervous about not being accepted as she was right now. These were all people doing what she wasn't sure she'd ever be able to do. Performers— dancers and actors and singers and people who knew exactly what they were supposed to be. What would they do when they realized she knew? Would they accept someone who was not supposed to be anything at all?
She felt relief surge through her when she caught the eye of a man a few tables in and he gave her a warm smile. He seemed far more approachable than the boy in her math class with the different-colored eyes. She perked up further when a peppy-looking girl joined the man at the table, and she made her way over with a friendly smile. "Hello." She greeted warmly, not sounding as casual as some teenagers may sound, but not sounding too uptight either. More like she just thought a tad too much about what came out of her mouth to be saying slang terms like 'hi' or 'howdy'. "Do you mind if I join you?"

Owen had a singular moment to be pleased at the smell of pancakes upon his waking before realizing exactly who had woken him. He scowled into his pillow for a moment. He didn't care that the freak was two years older— it didn't make him any less of a freak. He wiped the ugly expression from his face, though, before rolling out of bed in a mess of pillows and blankets, sitting up on the floor to rub the sleep from his eyes. He got to his feet lazily, an easy smile spreading over his face as he made his way to the kitchen. Sure, the guy was a freak, but man, was he fun to tease! "Aw, litty-Vitty." He cooed as he entered, a sleepy roughness still present in his voice. "How sweet, you shouldn't have." He strolled up to the tall man, pleased that he was finally able to look down on him after gaining those two extra inches over the summer, and reached around him to snatch one of the pancakes from the stack while smirking down at the older student. "Really, you shouldn't have." His tone lost it's sickly sweet lilting tone as he turned and strode to their makeshift living room area, sprawling himself across the couch as he took a massive bite out of the breakfast food. "You woke me up." His voice, muffled by a mouthful of pancake, didn't sound particularly irritated, despite what his actions would imply. Because he wasn't. He couldn't care less that Vitali had woken him up—his alarm would have gone off in ten minutes anyway— and the pancakes were actually delicious, truly, if someone told them Gordon Ramsey had made them fresh this morning, he might have believed them. No, he wasn't upset in the least by his morning so far— he just enjoyed getting a reaction out of the uptight vampiric junior. On that note, he glanced sidewards towards his dormmate with mild interest, raising his eyebrows.

Athena:

"Ugh, okay, okay I'm up!!" She yelled through the door. Athena was NOT a morning person. If she had things her way, she'd start classes in the afternoon. She yawns loudly and looks around her room, a bit disoriented. Athena gets up, quickly changes into a loose t-shirt and black jean shorts.

"Oh my gosh, my hair looks like an albatross made a nest there!" Athena exclaimed in horror. She sighed, and just decided to deal with it. She grabs a hairbrush and after a minute or two of continuous brushing, manages to calm her black locks down into her normal wavy style. After a touch of makeup, she opens the door to meet Audrey.

"What time is it? A matter of fact, what day is it?" Athena asked her.
