"oh sorry for scaring you. i came down to explore, and boy is my dorm amazing. they are just so calm and cool. though i think the other dorms aren't doing as well." jesse said as she sat down, though she had only realized that she was practically bragging about how good her dorm was compared to the others. "and how's your dorm?" she asked with curiosity, a small smirk appeared on her face.

Alex decided he needed to clear his head, and stepped outside of his dorm, then looked around for a quiet place to read the book in his hand, but saw something else that caught his eye. Pierce, Daniel, and Lucas. Well, mostly Lucas. It was weird, because whenever Alex saw Lucas, he would freeze up a bit, because Lucas was just stunning. Alex didn't know a lot about Lucas. But Alex knew that the man was beautiful and really good at painting. Whenever Alex got to see Lucas, Alex would stare for a while, because that was just how attractive he thought Lucas was. Of course, Alex didn't want to come off as creepy, but he really couldn't help it.

And he actually did want to become friends with Lucas, but he just never had the chance. Even now, Lucas was busy with his friends. Alex tore his eyes off of Lucas, and opened his book, but his gaze kept on wandering over to Lucas. He really needed to stop doing this. What was with his school and really attractive guys? First Henry, and now Lucas. Reagan was also really attractive, and would be a nice friend to have. Alex wasn't really interested in any of them though. Alex then realized how weird he looked to be just standing in front of his dorm and reading a book, so he dropped the act of reading, and sat down on a nearby chair, scrolling through his phone and stealing glances upwards.

xxxxhe was about to reply to pierce's words, when pierce only continued to speak. what he said, definitely wasn't anything he was expecting to come from his best friend's mouth. the words left him shocked, and all he could do was stand there with his mouth opened slightly, with nothing to say in return. his cheeks burned, a light pink hue taking it's place on his cheeks as he closed his mouth and turned his head away from him. what even was there to say to him after he had practically just openly hit on him, without a second of any hesitation?
xxxxlifting his head, lucas looked at pierce just as he had spun right back around and claimed that what he had said was smooth. it was, he had to be completely honest, and he definitely hadn't seen it coming. he never would have thought it would have happened had it actually not. he chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck gently. though, had pierce said that a few months earlier, possibly even a year or so, lucas would be far redder than a tomato, and wouldn't even dare turn back in the other's direction. when pierce proceeded to apologize for his words, his head flicked up in his direction and he quickly shook it-- even a little more than he would have liked.
xxxx"no, no-- it's... it's really alright. it doesn't make me uncomfortable, it just... it honestly just--" the brunet puffed out a loud sigh, turning his head away as he ran his tongue over his bottom lip, "it was just... really unexpected. you don't have to apologize for it. at all. so please... don't?" he cleared his throat as he turned his head up towards the older once again, an obvious nervous tint in his gaze before he shook his head and gazed at the ground. honestly, he didn't want pierce to feel obligated to apologize for something he had done. he didn't see the point in apologizing for something that had simply left lucas at a complete loss for words. there was really nothing wrong with what he said, or did, that made lucas feel like pierce actually had a reason to want to or need to apologize. all he had done was complimented him. it didn't have to mean anything.
xxxxhearing pierce's words about it not being much of a loss if reagan had his head bitten off-- by a chihuahua, might i add --made lucas chuckle softly. and as soon as he proceeded to give a description of his cups, lucas really couldn't help but off his friend a wide smile, and gaze at him with nothing more than amusement and adoration. "no, pierce, it'd be a little more than a big loss. no one deserves to have their head bitten off by a chihuahua, even if they really do deserve it." he shrugged his shoulders gently, combing a hand through his hair as he glanced around, his eyes falling on one of the few people standing in the hall- alex.
xxxxalexander. he was honestly a little bit of a mystery to the boy, and that was why he was so intriguing to begin with. he seemed like a little bit of a loner, and while even lucas enjoyed being alone, he knew that it wasn't always the best thing, especially if the thing you needed most was someone there with you. and while he was tempted to join alex, he kept himself from doing so-- and just averted his gaze towards the ground as he walked and followed after pierce, and stayed a few steps behind daniel rather than right beside him. adjusting the bag on his shoulders, lucas shook his head, and scratched the top of his head gently.
xxxxstepping up the stairs, he lifted his knees a little higher and began jogging slightly, though he immediately regreted it when he accidentally bumped into pierce's back. taking a single step back, lucas gripped the railing to keep himself from falling, and arched an eyebrow in his friend's direction. though, once he saw the white paper, he understood why the other had slowed down as much as he had. looking down at his hands, he listened to him as he brought up him going to the event with alexis. offering him a smile, he nodded his head. he was glad pierce got someone he could actually get along with, rather than someone he would much rather push off a cliff.
xxxxseeing pierce frown, caused lucas to lower his gaze and shake his head. whatever he was disappointed about, wasn't anything he was going to pry open. "hey, if it makes you feel any better, i have to go with luciana. i'm one tantrum away from not turning up with her and third wheeling with you and alexis." the brunet placed a hand on pierce's shoulder, and gently pat it before he walked a little past him to avoid accidentally running into him for a second time, "but, i do agree. we should find reagan before he gets his head chewed off by mochi."

xxxxhearing that zane talked about her-- all the time, at that --make indigo happy. she didn't even know if he was talking about her because he felt an attraction towards her (and while she wished that was the case, she wasn't going to ask about it) or if he was just talking about her because she was... well, because she was indigo. whatever the reason may have been-- indigo just held on to the fact that she was just told about zane talking about her. addison's words continued to spiral inside of her head, and she couldn't help but smile like a complete idiot at the ceiling as she thought about the other girl's words.
xxxxindigo turned her head towards the door as it opened, but then had closed afterwards. offering alex a nod, smile still prominent, she turned towards the ceiling once again and tilted her head. with a sigh, the girl stopped swinging her legs for a moment before bunching up her, slight, neatly placed blanket beneath her head. shifting her body forward a little bit as she bunched the cloth up just a slight bit more, she returned right back to swinging her legs back and forth, and allowing them to bump the side of the bed in a steady rhythm. after a moment, however, her head lifted and her eyebrows furrowed, and she gazed softly in the direction of the only masculine figure inside of the room. after the noise that he was creating-- even though it wasn't much --she lowered her head back onto the bunched up cloth and poked her tongue out of her mouth.

Alyssa seemed to be preoccupied with her own little world, not paying much attention to Addison as she left. She simply stopped thinking and immersed herself into the beautiful melody currently gracing her right ear as she skimmed through her music. Violins sounded so pretty. Pianos even more so, and the two made for a heavenly combination that filled her with the urge to sing along with the man on the practice track. 'Jeez, how does this guy hit all these high notes?' Too bad she could only have one earbud in or else she'd miss what was going on around her. Like Alex's arrival, which caused Alyssa to glance upwards and take note of his odd behavior. Her eyes carried a concerned look in them only briefly as she watched him unpack and settle down...

...and then leave. Alyssa quirked a brow at his actions, suddenly finding it difficult to focus on her music. She promptly closed her folder and left it in her lap, also pausing the practice track. Her music could come later. She took her earbud out and glanced at Indigo, then at the folder. For a while, Alyssa listened to the soft thuds of Indigo's legs bumping the side of the bed. All while an uneasy feeling rose in her gut because she was unsure of what to do. 'It's too quiet. Why is it so quiet? Maybe I should have left earlier. Oh, but if I leave now, Indigo's gonna be all alone in here.' "So... How do you feel about this trip?" Alyssa tentatively asked, offering the girl a soft smile while setting her folder aside.

Alex sighed as Pierce, Daniel, and Lucas passed. It was something like a dream, being able to befriend people like them. Especially Pierce. He got along with everybody and was popular and could do almost anything. He felt a sort of jealousy, and a kind of longing for close friends like that. Friends he could hang out with over here, instead of having to talk through blurry and unsteady video calls. He supposed it was time to go look for Henry. But the thing was, he had no idea where dorm 2 was.

He made his way back to his own dorm, entering and asking the two girls in there, Alyssa and Indigo, "Do either of you know where dorm 2 is? Or who is staying there?" If he could find somebody staying there, perhaps he could ask them to take him there.

xxxxpropping herself on her elbows, she shrugged softly. her feelings about the trip were overall neutral. she knew that nothing super bad was going to happen, but knowing that this place was supposedly haunted had her wondering all sorts of things. while she loved the thought, especially because lucas was totally against this in so many levels, she knew that there was a fat chance that many other people would be terrified for their life because of the whole thought. honestly, she kind of believed that it was just a huge prank that the teachers were playing on them in an attempt to get the students to bond. it was a little stupid, sure, but it was honestly a little true if you actually sat there and thought about it past the top layer.
xxxx"honestly, i don't know how to feel about it. it's 'ight, i guess, kind of a little pointless. but it's a nice break away from everything else." indigo sat up, her legs finally swaying softer. now, her calves weren't hitting the side of the bed, which left the room in an awkward silence, "how about you?" she asked after a second of no noise echoing inside of the large room, placing her hands together in her lap as she tipped her head to the side curiously.
xxxxturning her head towards the door as it opened, she offered alex a smile as he reentered the room. tipping her head to the side once more, she poked out her bottom lip slightly before turning and bending over at the waist. indy pulled her bag towards her and unzipped it, pulling out the paper before unfolding it. turning it over onto the side with the dorms, she squinted slightly before she ran a finger beneath the five names as she nodded her head, "i don't know where it is, but daniel, pierce, henry, rosaleigh and lucas are the ones staying there," she answered softly, lifting her head after placing the paper back inside of her back, zipping it closed and nudging it back towards the corner of the bed, then turned and looked at the male.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxShiro looked up to niall as the artist told him that Emily wanted him. The jock quickly rose to his feet- tucking his phone into his pocket as he made his way over. “knucklehead. Really?” He asked with a chuckle, though he’ll be fair to Niall, it was a pretty fitting nickname so some of the jock’s he knew.

Shiro sat kn the edge of Emily’s bed, raising his eyebrow at her, “do you need anything or did you just want my company?” He joked, a smile on his face as he leaned back on the bed, looking between niall and emily - waiting for some sort of response. His gaze snapped up to them as he remembered something “who have you guys got as your valentines?” He asked curiously.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxChase was working to keep her breathing even - what annoyed her was that Freya sounded completely calm - she was someone who obviously had a better hold on their anger. Her hand was slowly crushing the can as she tried to be the bigger person in the entire ordeal and not reply - but seriously, let’s be real, - this is chase we’re talking about. The outcast won’t back down for nothing.

She heard jackson’s voice and she turned her head slightly to face the jock - still being happy for any distraction away from the cheerleader. She plastered an unamused expression onto her face as the jock spoke. “aha, very funny. by all means, she can have you all to herself - maybe then she wouldn’t bother me.” She replied - about to lean back on her bed when she heard Freya scoff. “what is it now princess?” She muttered, running her hand through her hair as she glanced around the room.

As the blonde spoke Chase gritted her teeth, she was growing quickly tired of the verbal fight between them. Chase honestly didn’t care about what others said to her, or about her in general, but she was a naturally defensive person and although she didn’t care - she didn’t want anyone seeing her back down from a fight. She had been considered a coward for a couple of things throughout her life - but fighting was not one of them. Nor would it ever be. After muttering a few curses in Romanian - a habit both she and shiro shared when they were annoyed. She decided to speak up again,

“okay, it’s all good you tossing words around - but what are you actually gonna do to me? honey, are you gonna throw your sparkly pom poms at me?” She spat back, “oh, please don’t, i’m so scared.” She growled out. Her hazel eyes and her tone of voice were currently the only two things portraying her current emotions - the rest of her body language remaining relaxed, with the exception of the hand crushing the energy drink.

The outcast set her crushed can in her lap as it now wouldn’t stand in its current, deformed, shape. Exhaling, Chase did her best to remain calm and not actually physically challenge the cheerleader to a fight - she had a good streak going of not actually getting into a heated fight and she could already hear the scolding she was going to get from shiro if she was to start up again now of all times. The outcast leaned back against the bed frame, cracking her knuckles impatiently as she waited for the sassy response that she was probably going to get from ‘shortie’.

"Okay, thank you!" He told Alyssa and Indigo, offering them a smile. He was about to exit again to go find Henry, but then thought that in order to find the dorm, Alex would either have to weirdly follow Pierce, Daniel, and Lucas, or ask them, but that would be interrupting their conversation, and he didn't want to do that.

So he just sat down on his bed, watching Alyssa and Indigo, then deciding just to make some conversation so things wouldn't be too awkward. "So, who are you guys paired up with?" He asked. He wasn't very curious about that topic, but hey, it was relevant, and the silence was too unbearable, even if Alex did like quiet places. He was too jittery now, and was also really cheerful from his encounter with Henry. Plus, he was excited to see his new friend again. Whenever he thought about the hug, a smile blossomed on his face, even though he tried to not think about it. Hugs were nice.

When Henry heard what Lucy did from Alexis, he couldn't help but giggle loudly as he covered his mouth with his hand. "Well, why am I not even surprised?" He hummed under his breath speaking more to himself than to anyone else, " Well, if you manage to get in, please tell her that I said hi." He exclaimed, and later added jokingly " and if you can't then you should probably go to a different dorm for the night" as he waved at the group and continued on walking again, this time looking for Alex's dorm, which was dorm five- if he remembered correctly, he didn't know how much time has passed, but unknowingly he wanted to see the man again.

As he strolled down the mostly half- empty corridors he soon noticed door with five on them- probably Alexander's dorm. Henry knocked on the door lightly and entered the room. " Hope I'm not interupting anything?" He asked before even noticing who was in the room, a bright smile on his face clearly visible.

Alex turned his had to the sound of Henry's voice, and a smile lit up his face. "Oh, hi! Uh, Alyssa and Indigo, I'm gonna go now, but it would be nice to talk later," Alex said, getting up to grab Henry's hand and take them both into the hallway. It would be awkward to talk inside his dorm. Besides, he wanted to go somewhere and explore. After exiting his dorm and stopping in the hallway, Alex realized he was still holding Henry's hand, and hurriedly let go. "Sorry for dragging you out, but I would rather go outside than stay in my dorm. Unless you want to stay inside? I'm fine with anything," he told Henry.

"If you want we can go outside and just talk for a bit," he suggested, then added, "Or we could explore around this house and see what the other students are up to." Alex played with the hem of his hoodie with his sweater paws, chewing on his lower lip a bit nervously. He regretted letting go of Henry's hand now. Outside of his dorm, the house was colder than he was comfortable with, and just being able to hold somebody's hand would bring him more warmth and also... it was nice.
