With smooth strides of his long legs, he swiftly made his way through the school's corridors with his hands shoved in the front pockets of his jacket. He was feeling rather calm today, even when he knew that he was officially assigned to be someone's valentine, for the moment. Pierce didn't care much about who he'd get paired up with. A dance was a dance. If he didn't like the person, he'd manage to somehow play it off politely and coolly, to give them the sense that he'd want to be nothing more than friends. Though if he'd find himself liking the person, he'd just have to hope that they would like him back too. Even when the thoughts of falling in love with someone who'd never like him back, lingered through the back of his mind, somehow, he managed to keep himself calm and content. At the moment, this is what seemed to be the most important thing for him.
Don't panic. Remain calm. Act cool. Act n o r m a l.
His soft lips formed a small smirk on his face. He found the word 'normal' quite funny. Nobody was normal, but for the sake of his reputation and dignity, he had to at least try fitting in. It wasn't easy, but he always managed to somehow do it. He had many friends, some with who he talked many times, though some who he never really talked to. But pushing the unimportant stuff aside, finally he had managed to find the assignment list. There were a few people crowded in front of the list which made it hard for him to see. Stepping closer to the group of students which were hoarded in front of the paper like a flock of birds, he peaked past their heads at the very back and kept moving himself so he could get a better view. Titling his head to the side, his fluffy brown hair followed the movements of it satisfyingly, soft strands peaking over his red bandanna and touching the right and left sides of his forehead. With a huff, he moved a bit more to the right where there was more space. Although he was quite tall, he still had to get on his tip-toes to manage getting a better sight of his name. It really annoyed him when others kept moving their heads too.
But at last, he finally saw his name. Though he saw his name, he didn't see the other person's name quite well. Moving even more to the right carefully on his tip-toes, his eyebrows furrowed into a frown and squinted his eyes. When a girl in front of him finally moved her head, he was relieved that he could now see his partner's name. 'Saffron Angela Larsen'. He knew her and actually, he was pretty happy with his partner. She was a lovely girl and quite pretty- also a similar personality to his. The main thing they surely did have in common however, was art. Drawing, doodling, painting, crafting... Everything about art was phenomenal in Pierce's opinion. It was a wonderful experience to be able to share the same likes with someone else. You could talk to them about that one thing all day and it would never get boring. ...Sort of. But while he found himself falling in love with art, he also tensed a bit the more he had stared at her name. Saffron was a very talented person, from what he's heard. In fact, he's heard so many positive things about her art, it kind of made him feel... Jealous.
Though he felt a bit jelly of such positive rumours which slowly spread around the school about her art, he liked to make himself feel better by thinking that maybe both of them were equally as talented. But even if she was much better of an artist than he is, he'd try his best to push his jealousy aside and act polite around her. Sighing, the boy stands on his feet normally and takes a few steps backwards from the group of people. He looks around him momentarily- taking quick glances, so he could see if maybe Saffron would pop around- though he had seen her nowhere. Had she already seen the list? Maybe she has? What if she's unhappy with the person she's assigned with? He tensed slightly as he asked himself these questions, though he didn't want to make any assumptions just yet. He would have to wait and see.
Pierce wasn't necessarily going to look for her, though he'd be lucky enough to bump into her or see her around somewhere. He didn't like rushing things, and he wanted to make sure she'd see the list before having him randomly searching for her through the whole school and giving her the news. What he wanted to do however, was to make her feel comfortable and give her space, as it was the right thing to do at the moment. Taking a hand out from one of the pockets of his jacket, he runs it through his voluminous hair and begins walking down the corridors once more, now in search for the art studio. He liked to usually go there and doodle in his spare time, to keep his imagination going and put down on a paper as many of his ideas as possible so he won't forget them, because these small ideas were important. They were the beginning of his new creation which he'll work very hard for. Art really wasn't a joke to him. But yet again, speaking of art...
Is it possible to think of a person as a beautiful masterpiece?
It was weird to get such sudden thoughts, especially when you think of a person you never really talk to.

Her grip tightened around the heavy books she held close to her chest. She felt like they were about to slip from her arms at any moment given, and even when her arms were beginning to hurt, she prayed to god that she'd manage to successfully get to her next class without dropping them. It would be a great embarrassment to suddenly let everything fall on the floor and then bend down to pick them up, while people were walking past- their feet and dirty shoes moving close to her precious papers and books dangerously close, as if threatening to step on them. She was in a hurry, an hour ago, and hasn't managed to put everything in her bag. She simply had no idea where to stop so she could put them back inside and make her life so much easier. Though for now he had to deal with stopping every so often and lift her knee up, to touch the bottoms of the books and fix their positions in her arms. Sighing tiredly, the girl slowed down in her tracks when a group of students gathered around a list completely caught her attention. It was her nature to get too curious all the time. She just couldn't help herself.
Stepping closer, she lifted her chin up and stood on her tip-toes to try and see what everyone was looking at. She was beginning to get slightly annoyed however, as almost everyone within that crowd was taller than her. She'd try to get through the group, though she had a small fear of getting completely squished like a marshmallow by these random humans. Plus, she wasn't intending to get closer to them more than she intended to, as sometimes it could be a terrifying experience. Her shiny lips which were coated with a thin layer of lip-gloss formed a small pout on her face when she couldn't see the list. She had no chance here... She'd have to wait until more people would leave, though she didn't have much time either. She'd have to be in the sports hall soon and practice cheer-leading and what not.
Stepping away from the humans which were gathered around a mysterious list, she immediately spots and incredibly tall boy who was standing close. She didn't even have to see his face clearly, to know that she had already spotted Jaehan. He was a sweet guy and he looked quite fine, though his personality was incredibly interesting to the girl. It is what really attracted her to him, like he was the giant magnet and she was the tiny, metal hairpin. She had absolutely no chance against him and his charming behaviour- that was a fact. Battering her long, mascara-coated eyelashes which made her brown doe-like eyes stand out, her lips formed a shy smile. She began taking slow steps towards him like a little deer who was curious of a new finding. As she moved her arms to get a better grip on her heavy books, the golden bracelet she wore on her left wrist made jolly jingling noises as the small stars, moons and suns which hanged low on the shiny thin chain, touched each other.
''Hi,'' She spoke delicately, the word which escaped her mouth quiet and almost inaudible. She glanced down at her cute shoes which were a pair of white flats with a bow on top; they complimented her white dress well. Looking back at the tall male, she raised her chin to be able to look up at him and see his face well. ''What's this about?'' Turning to look at the people which were gathered around the list, she then tuns back to him and tilts her head to the side, long, wavy, silky hair sloping down her back nicely. She was too embarrassed to admit that she couldn't see the list because she felt short compared to everyone else. However, she was also fine with JD explaining to her what was going on.
Like, who wouldn't mind talking to their crush?
