we are constantly surrounded by what we’re told love
should be. passionate, thrilling, epic. but as we know
all too well, not all love is like that. it’s about the little
things, the things we don’t realise are important. whether
it’s talking until the sun comes up, sitting in silence just
enjoying the other’s presence or even simply seeing the
one you love happy. without these little things, how
can a relationship prosper?

you all graduated high school a few years ago.
the “golden age” of high school is long behind you
and reality has truly set in. life on your own isn’t easy,
but you all have that one person who makes it bearable.
whether they’re a friend or something more, you don’t
know how you’d make it without them. you're old group
of friends have arranged a trip, a way to relive the glory
days and rekindle any friendships or romances that may
have survived the years. and so off you go to hawaii, the
ultimate beach escape, a chance to reunite and reminisce
on the good old days.

This fiery young lady always manages to get herself into nasty
situations. Backing down just isn't in her nature and she always
seems to have some conflict in her life. Despite this, when you're
around her there's never a dull moment and her fun (if somewhat
frightening) nature is hard to resist.

The artist doesn't say much, but when she does everyone stops to
listen. Her creativity is matched by no one, her ideas are
so incredible that no one can help being drawn in. She is
a positive, calming soul who only needs to find the
confidence to flaunt her talent.

played by: Feline:~:Kingdom

You need this girl on your side. She is the one who will
never leave you, her loyalty can last through rain and shine,
she is has a beautiful spirit and is constantly nurturing and
looking out for her friends, but soon she'll have to start putting
herself first.

played by: starlight;

This is the girl who loves everything gorgeous. Appearances
mean a lot to her, which may be shallow, but it's who
she is. She is glamorous and dramatic to no end and loves
giving her friends fashion advice at every opportunity.

And last but certainly not least, the definition of a hot mess.
This girl has been faking her way through life since graduation
and it's all starting to catch up to her. She may be somewhat
ditzy and disorganised, but she has a heart of gold that she
might just have to sacrifice to keep her life together.

This young man's intelligence is matched by almost no one.
He seems to know every fact under the sun and doesn't
hesitate to show off his smarts. He can be a pain with
his never-ending smart ass comments and know-it-all
demeanour, but he's amiable enough that they put up
with him, some more than others.

If you've had a bad day and are in need of a laugh,
this guy's the one to go to. He could fall under a range of
labels: flirt, prankster, tease; but at the end of the day he
loves making people laugh and spreading happiness.
But it's not all fun and games behind the mask he puts up.

played by: kibum.

You won't find a quieter, sweeter guy than the wallflower.
He is uncomfortable in almost all group situations, but
get him on his own and he is not only engaging, but gentle
and patient. He needs someone to show him it's okay to put
himself out there and let his soft personality be known.

name: Carlos Alejandro Fernandez-Perez
played by: Blackpearl44

This guy spells trouble. From the moment you meet him
you know it isn't going to be an easy ride. He is always
out doing crazy things, not caring who may get hurt in
the process. Underneath the seemingly insane, careless
façade is a young boy who was hurt almost beyond repair.

And finally, the different one. He doesn't really
seem to fit in with the group and from the outside,
no one can seem to figure out how he got there in the
first place. He says things they don't understand, does
things that seem weird, but the group wouldn't be
the same without him.

This is a relationship no one ever expected.
She is wild and loves living life on the edge, whereas
he still doesn't really know his place not only in the
group, but in general. She helps him find his way, while
he shows her that there's more to life than stirring up
trouble and living each day like it's the last.

In high school they never spoke to each other in front
of other people for fear of pressure being placed on their
friendship, but were always there for one another. She had
the guts to ask him out once, on their last day of senior year,
resulting in his rejection. However hard it may have been for
him to lose her, he wasn't ready to take the next step but
now regrets ever turning her down. His hope for this trip
is that he can not only apologise for hurting her all those
years ago, but perhaps even find their way back to each
other, as friends at the very least.




These two are constantly arguing, debating, bantering,
whatever you want to call it. She thinks him immature and
childish while he finds her stuck up and shallow. They
always seem to have some disagreement or another, but they're
always smiling and laughing when they're together. Everyone
can see they'd be great with each other, but they both
continue to deny the connection they share.

In high school, these two were the best of friends. Despite
each claiming to despise the other, they were always with
each other, spending whatever time they could together.
For the whole four years of high school, the two were
crushing on each other hardcore, but both way too
terrified to admit it. Perhaps now they've grown up a
bit they can finally confess the truth to one another.






This couple just look like they're meant to be. She is
nurturing and loving, always putting her own needs
last, while he has to be the best and loves showing off.
They are almost complete opposites, but they need each
other. He needs her to keep him grounded, remind him
of who he is and that people around him need him. She
needs him to show her that it's okay to put yourself first
and that other people can in fact cope without her.

In high school, these two never seemed to connect. He
admired her from afar, attracted by her open heart and
caring nature. But being the person he was, he thought
she was beneath him and his ego got in the way of him
ever approaching her. In all honesty, she never really
noticed him as anything more than a friend, on this
trip he hopes to catch her eye and is willing to do
anything he can to work his way into her heart.







You may have thought the previous couple were opposites,
but these two are polar opposites. She is soft-spoken
and wary, but he is spontaneous, nearly out of control.
She doesn't have the confidence to share her ideas
with the world and needs someone with that touch
of recklessness to bring out her true colours. Conversely,
he is in need of someone to tame his impulsivity and
show him that being in the spotlight isn't the only
thing there is.

In high school, the artist never really let anyone see
her artworks. She was extremely protective of them
and none of her friends ever really knew why. It was
because one of them was her muse. She was embarrassed
by her feelings for the wild because she was certain
he would never feel anything for her. So she poured
all her feelings into her art, never allowing anyone to
see into her soul. Despite this, he always admired her,
her quiet confidence that never needed validation. On
this trip, she hopes to admit her feelings all those years
ago with the hopes he returns them. Despite her claims
to herself that she's over it, she isn't at all and has kind
of been pining over him all this time. While he has thought
about her, it's nothing compared to her devotion to him,
but this trip could change everything.




And lastly, these two. She can feel herself
spiralling and knows that soon she's not going to
be able to bring herself back from the brink. He is
the person she needs to regain control and realise
that she's more capable than she thinks. He needs
her slight craziness to bring him out of his shell and
teach him to not fear pain or heartbreak anymore.

In high school these two shared a very special bond.
It wasn't really what you'd call friendship, but they
just seemed to understand each other. She always
felt that it could become something amazing, but
knew that he wasn't ready to completely let his walls
down. She still feels the same way about him to this
day, but with her life falling apart, she doesn't want
to bring him into it. Having had time to ponder, he
realises the opportunity he missed with her and hopes
that on this trip he can tell her, no matter how hard
it may be for him to let himself be that vulnerable.

➢ Adelle practically ran off the plane, the flight had been long, boring and she'd only been able to sleep for about 3 hours. Feeling thoroughly put out, Adelle wove her way through the Honolulu airport until she found a bathroom. She was dressed in her 'plane outfit' which consisted of a white t-shirt with rolled sleeves, a pair of grey sweatpants and her favourite pink Puma slides. It was probably the least glamorous she could get (while in public at least) and the girl didn't want to stay looking as she did for any longer than necessary. Luckily, she had prepared for a quick change such as this. In her carry-on bag was a forget-me-not blue scoop neck crop top, a pair of cut off denim shorts, her favourite tan wedges and of course, her "travel" makeup kit. After changing, Adelle pulled her curly blonde hair into a ponytail and applied the lightest layer of makeup she could to make herself presentable. After all, she was seeing friends that hadn't laid eyes on her in a good three years, she had to make a breath-taking first impression.

Now that she'd cleaned herself up, the young woman hauled her two suitcases out to the taxi rank and approached the first empty car she saw. "Hi, to the Paradise Resort please," she told the man politely, sliding into the back seat. Ever since she'd even thought about organising this trip, she'd been all aflutter with nerves and excitement. Now that she was actually here... well the excitement was starting to win out. The drive was about 45 minutes, enough time for Adelle to watch two episodes of her new TV addiction, Brooklyn 99. As the closing credits rolled on her laptop screen, the resort swept into view outside the window. Adelle stared as the car got closer to the beautiful building, unable to contain an excited smile. Soon enough she was stepping out of the car, thanking the driver and wheeling her luggage into the hotel's lobby. Adelle approached the desk, "Hi, I'm here to check in, the name is Sterling?" The man behind the counter passed her a room key and told her to have a wonderful stay. Murmuring her thanks, Adelle went to wait on one of the squashy couches adorning the resort's lobby. It wasn't surprising that she was the first one to arrive, even when they were teenagers Adelle had always been the one to turn up an hour early to events.

xxxxxBrandon had one crazy ride to the airport. The plane was crowded and loud, loud enough where he got no sleep what so ever. He spent most of the flight having to listen to the person next to him ramble on the different types of fish he had caught. He swore he was going to go insane from it. It was a nightmare. When the plane finally landed Brandon nearly ran off the plan, he was done with this dude and his fish. He wanted out. By the time he had gotten his luggage and made a small pit stop to use the bathroom, he was nearly falling asleep standing. Brandon knew if he wanted to make it to the hotel without falling asleep in the cab he'd need some sort of caffeinated drink. He made his way towards a Starbucks and settled into line. While Brandon wasn't one for coffee, especially Starbucks, he wasn't about to fall asleep in a cab. Again.

xxxxxAfter waiting in line and coming out with a regular ol' black coffee Brandon knew it was about time to head on towards the hotel. If he was correct the hotel was about a 45-minute drive but with traffic, it could be longer. Don't know if there will even be traffic this time of day-well there might be. Brandon made his way towards the exit of the airport with his coffee in hand and suitcase in the other. Before grabbing a cab Brandon made sure to pull out his phone and check anything he needed to. Call him old fashioned but when he was in the car with a stranger he felt that sitting on his phone the whole time was sort of, well, rude. If he was with someone he knew he'd be on his phone in a heartbeat. Must've been something he picked up from his mother. Brandon felt his whole demeanor change when he thought of his parents but decided that getting to the hotel to see his friends was more important. Brandon grabbed a cab and told them the address. As he guessed it was going to be a little over a 45-minute drive. Brandon let himself relax in the back of the cab and took the time to think of his friends. It's been a long time-little over three years. Brandon took the chance to glance down at what he was wearing. This'll be interesting. They'll see not much has changed. Brandon was in a pair of dusty blue sweatpants and a Nirvana t-shirt. Reminded him of High school him. He typically wore jeans, ripped or not depended on the laundry for that day, and a graphic tee. Occasionally he did spice it up and wear some nicer clothes but that was when he was coming back from getting in trouble.

surprise!!!Cassidy Nahm did miss his old friend group, but he was one hundred percent sure that this was a plane ride that he was not going to miss. In fact, the moment he knew that they were even a little bit close to touching the ground again at the airport, he was already preparing himself to be one of the first people off. He had made it very clear to the others around him that he was not at all interested in conversation by popping his headphones on over his ears and pulling out an Ernest Hemingway novel, allowing it to serve as a barrier between himself and the other people on the plane who might have thought, for a moment, that he looked like delightful company for which they could use to entertain themselves on a plane ride that had to last for hours and hours on end. He managed to fall asleep several times, though he only stayed asleep for around thirty minutes tops before he woke back up and started reading again. It was an endless cycle until the plane landed and he was finally able to get off, stretch his legs, and take a breath of fresh Hawaiian air. He made short work of a bathroom break, grabbing his luggage, then getting a cup of black coffee from the nearest place that served it. Now he was really ready to face whatever this resort trip had planned for him.
surprise!!!Cassidy could only hope that there wouldn't be too much traffic. He didn't want to sit in a stranger's backseat for any longer than he absolutely had to -- an hour was his limit. When he wasn't looking outside the taxi's window, he was glancing briefly at his phone or reading a page of his novel. Luckily, the taxi ride didn't last too long, forty-five minutes at the least. He thanked the driver and wheeled his suitcases towards the resort building, looking up at it in awe for a moment. It was impressive, he would give it that. He was beginning to doubt that he would dislike his stay here like he had originally thought. Maybe he could, actually, have a good time at this resort. He still wasn't entirely sure who else was there yet, though, because there was simply no way that he was the first. He liked everyone in his friend group, but there were some whose company he preferred over others and he was sure they knew who they were.
surprise!!!"Last name's Nahm, N-A-H-M," He told the man behind the counter in the lobby, keeping it short and sweet. He was handed a room key and told to enjoy his time there. He responded with a polite smile and took his suitcases with him to the lobby, having a quick glance around. His eyes first landed on furniture, which meant he could wait for the rest of his group there. For a moment, he thought he actually may have been first, until he spotted a familiar face on one of the couches that, somehow, he knew he'd be seeing first. He didn't bother to plaster on a smile as he approached Adelle. She knew how he was and knew that he didn't work too hard to appear all warm and fuzzy in his greetings.
surprise!!!"Look who it is," He greeted, his voice akin to a hum as he took a seat on the other end of the couch. "Adelle Sterling. You still look stunning."

"ya, ya I know!" Rakia laughed into her phone as she walked into the airport. "Kara, I don't even know if he'll be there okay? Calm down." She had been talking to her sister about this trip for the last couple weeks or so. Truth be told she was a tad nervous meeting everyone again after so long. But the majority of her was excited. Of course due to history Kara, Rakia's older sister, had inquired about the appearance of a certain boy. Rakia honestly had no clue who all would be at this little get together but she was happy to be going. "Kara, listen I gotta go, i just got to the air port. I'll text you when I land." Her sister ended the call with a soft groan and a threat somewhere along the lines of "I'll break your kneecaps if you don't text me". Hanging the phone up Rakia chuckled softly to herself. Placing some tags on her luggage Rakia boarded the plane. for the next few hours she would either be sleeping shamelessly or drawing in her little note book she had brought. Occasionally she would spend twenty minutes or so looking out over the ocean and going over what might happen when she lands and sees everyone. but most this plane ride was spent in wondrous dream land.

As the plane neared the island a look of awe came over Rakia's sleepy expression. It was absolutely stunning! the Crystal clear waters, the vibrant trees and breath taking landscapes. She couldn't wait to get out her art supplies and capture the beauty of everything around her. As she got off the plane she was very aware of how much she stuck out thanks to her dumb founded look. Nonetheless she climbed into a cab, spoke the address and spent the rest of the ride with her nose pressed to the window, admiring the view. As the cab pulled up to the resort she thanked the driver with a sweet smile and wave. Standing in front of the resort she pulled on her light blue hoodie a little. She realized it was a bit warmer then she had expected and wished she had changed from her usual skinny jeans with gray boots and a sweatshirt into something a bit more forgiving. With a deep sigh she took a step forward and walked through the front doors and to the front desk. "Hi there!" she greeted the man behind the desk with a slightly terrifying smile. Earning a slightly disturbed look from the man she coughed and forced her smile down to something a bit more normal. "Haven, here to check in." she explained. Her feet gently tapped the ground as she looked around. she always got a bit more bubbly when she was excited or nervous. She liked to compare herself to a Mountain Dew soda. shake it up a little and it bubbles up. Not the best metaphor but she liked it. Taking her room key she turned and spotted Cassidy and Adelle already conversing over on a couch. she walked over, pushed her red hair behind her ear and gave them a small wave. "Hey guys" She took a seat on another chair near by, a content smile on her thin lips. She admired how Cassidy always looked flawless no matter what he was wearing or what he was doing. It was just something he could do. not to mention his face was rather interesting, something that might be fun to draw but she had never attempted. Adelle on the other hand, it was a bit obvious she put effort into her look everyday but she made it work. Simply stunning and raining with confidence. Rakia had always wondered what she looked like without make-up but had never gotten that close with her to see.
