Nickname: Iris. It was given to her by a close friend, and she refuses to go by her given name or any variant.

Physical Description: Iris has dark grey eyes and dark hair;
with long chaotic curls. She has a tongue piercing and is on
the taller side, around 5’5, and fit; more in a
I-can-win-a-barfight sort of way than a sporty way, but
a bit underweight for several reasons, including substance abuse and stress. She is inherently curvy, but it generally goes unnoticed.

Typical Clothing: Iris loves bright baggy shirts and skirts, strongly against the standard poofy attire, when she gets her way she either wears a tunic and pants, or a tunic and single-layer skirt. She often gets her way.

Personality/Attributes

Personality/Attitude: Iris can be very, very stubborn. She is prideful; and while she can be as humble as a saint she doesn't get over things well and can hold a grudge like no other. She’s strong, and doesn’t let people down, but has pretty severe moodswings and when they hit, they hit. She is nowhere near stable; but she has gotten very good at hiding it over the years, or covering it up with amusement or joy. She is a bit of a delinquent, and even with the innocence she can't seem to shake will get into all sorts of trouble. She loves animals more than anything though, especially fish, and is very quickly and easily attached to anything. She has a bit of a complex regarding; she can't turn away something or someone that needs help. She is completely incapable; and sometimes it shows through more than she would like it to. She would rather seem unbothered by life than seem vulnerable; and thats hard to do when you are pre-programmed to love everything and everyone. She is also prone to forming habits; nail biting, fidgiting, repetitive behaviors, coping mechanisms and substance abuse, and is very quick to relate to things with the same issues.
Favourites/Likes: Iris loves freedom. Just outright, everything about it. No ties, no responsibility. She fell in love with the vagabond lifestyle, particularly that of musicians- Singing and songwriting was a huge thing for her, and would readily give up everything She has to live that way.
Most Hated/Dislikes: Iris has strong opinions regarding government, and doesn't like authority much. Be it her fathers influence over her childhood, or some other outside force, she just doesn't like it. She balks at control, and its usually just a struggle to understand the point of all of it.
Fears: Never being good enough, or not making a career for herself.

Name: Jax Rourke.

Appearance: To start with, Jax has dark brown hair that is short, and usually styled to be in a somewhat spiked style. He also has hazel eyes that seem to shift, depending on the light. He stands at 5'10'', making him not the tallest of guys, but still pretty tall, and he has an athletic build, with a fair amount of muscle. He has an eyebrow piercing in his right eyebrow, and both of his ears have one lobe piercing each, and he has just one tattoo - a dove holding a black rose with thorns on his upper left arm - but he intends to get more.

Personality: Jax is a determined and confident person that doesn't tend to know when he should back down - he finds it very difficult to hold back a retort or insult, and won't walk away without a fight (one that he wins, preferably). With a short temper, even looking at him in what he presumes to be a bad way will irritate him on his bad days, which is never good for anybody involved. While he comes across as cold and uncaring, especially at the first few meetings with him, he isn't always such an unfriendly person - he does have a friendly side that he might show, with a lot of patience and understanding from the other person. For those that he may (eventually) grow close to, then he will be incredibly caring and fiercely loyal, but that may not be obvious at first, because Jax is certainly not the sort of person to 'share his feelings'. If he has an argument with someone, then he is known to hold long-term grudges. He is also trying to 'fight against the system', and the only two things that he (currently) cares about are animals and art.

Short Bio: Born in Coventry, England, Jax's family were more on the poor side. His mother was rather strict with him and his sister, often making sure that the two of them weren't up to anything. Naturally, this didn't bring out the best in Jax, and he expressed his frustrations at school and while out of the house. His mother smoked a lot as well, and she eventually got lung cancer. A week before Jax turned 15, his mother died (so he doesn't like to tell people when his birthday is). A couple of months later, his father won the lottery, and he decided that they would leave England, and instead move to America (or, whichever country this roleplay takes place). Jax, with a lot of pent-up frustration and stress from his mother, having to move to an entirely new country, the Government and animal cruelty (which he'd witnessed first hand from one of his new neighbours), took to some unsavory ways to channeling his frustrations. These included spray painting and graffiti, and making more violent protests. He's also a vegetarian, and used to volunteer at an animal shelter - which included caring for a couple of horses.
Why He Is There: He was caught spray painting graffiti for a second time - mostly he doesn't get caught - and also being a notable part of several violent protests. He's served a short stint in prison, but has now been offered rehabilitation in the form of taking care of a horse, and has psychotherapy meetings once every two weeks.
