All Rory could do was laugh. Valour was covered in mud, “You realize we have a dinner tonight, right? Might want to clean up a little bit.” She pulled her hair out of the braid and lifted herself up and onto Veni’s back. “I’m going to ride home and get ready while you, well, wash off. I need to prepare myself for the banquet.” She did a little princess wave before turning Veni and urging him into a canter yelling, “I’m really sorry but I have to go! I don’t have time to wait for you to catch up! You can try though!” She did feel bad leaving, but she needed to get ready and didn’t have the time to wait.
Veni cantered easily through the woods, the ride back was beautiful. Once she made it to the barn, she quickly untacked Veni and put him in his stall. He immediately went to eat the hay in the corner. She smiled to him before she walked back to the tack room and found the spot with her name and placed the tack on the hooks. She would have to come back and clean everything later.
Finally making it back to her truck, she grabbed her bags and walked back to the cabins. When she opened the main door, she couldn’t help but smile giddily at the beautiful room. There was some movement of doors opening and closing upstairs so Rory went up the steps. Flipping through her many emails, she found that she was cabin 6. She pulled the key out of her pocket and slid it into the doorknob. With a click, she opened the door. She was met with a large, airy room that had a leather couch facing a wide tv. Lei ran past her legs and jumped into the living area. The lab quickly started smelling everything. Rory placed her bags on the couch and opened one of them to reveal her outfit for the dinner. It was a light gray off the shoulder dress that stopped mid-thigh. Pulling it over her head and looking in the mirror that hung on the wall, she smiled. The color made her green eyes look bright and large. She applied some mascara and light color of lipstick, then pulled her hair up into a crown braid around her head. She had to admit, she looked good. Way different and more refined then she had a couple of minutes ago in her riding gear.
The last pieces to her outfit was a small, gold, heart shaped locket necklace and her strappy, light leather sandals. She finally grabbed her tiny handbag that matched her shoes and threw the essentials into it. She rubbed Lei’s Head and walked out of her room, shutting the door behind her. Some people milled around the cabin hangout space, but not many. She walked down the steps and out the door, Lei at her heels. When she made it to the dining hall, she smiled delightedly. I must be early. No one is here yet. But then she noticed a man already stood inside so she walked over to him, “I’m Rory, hello.”

Jameson Gladio - Ice Breaker Dinner - Apple, Dallas

Sighing, James sat up from the extremely comfortable chair in his apartment. Time for the dinner I guess. He quickly pumped himself up; he knew there were a lot of others here, and he was bound to make at least a few friends. I need a cat or something... feels so empty in here. Leaving his room and putting the key in his pocket, he made his way down to the rrec hall. He was wearing nothing too fancy; he hated dressing up. James had on a pair of dark blue jeans, with a simple red plaid button up.

Walking into the rrec hall, James was and wasn't surprised at how elegant it was inside. This place must have cost so much money... he didn't have the slightest clue how the owners obtained the funds for it. Looking into the huge hall, he noticed 2 others inside already. One seemed to be a bit older, the other younger, and James was getting ready to put on his humorous mask on, though he wasn't sure what they were ok with yet. Being funny could be so hard sometimes.

Avalon moved slowly from her position on the bed. Maddox immediately jumped to the carpet below and licked her hand. When she stood and looked in the mirror, she saw a beautiful, confident young woman. So why didn’t she feel like one?
She turned away from her reflection and walked towards the door. Maddox pressed against her side as she walked down the stairs. His tail hit her thigh with every step and her charm bracelet jingled. She had one charm for every family member. A lotus for Sofia, a soccerball for Chase, a baseball bat for Parker, two horseshoes for her moms, a pawprint for Maddox, a crescent moon for Moon, and a bell for Glory. Her entire family on her wrist. It made her smile whenever she looked at it. It made her smile now.

Avalon pushed open the door into the dining hall, noticing few people were already there. This was good because that meant she could sit wherever she wanted. She kept her head down and walked over to a table set up far in the corner. She sat down quickly, not making eye contact with anyone. She assumed some of them might talk to her, so she mentally prepared some conversational questions. Maddox stretched out at her feet, the picture of perfect manners. She rubbed his ears and picked at the flowers in the center of the table, uncomfortable.

Valour laughed, shaking his head as he called out goodbye before grabbing Flame and mounting onto the dapples' back. Spurring his horse forward, he made his way towards the Mare's barn. Putting Flame in his stall he made his way to the Stallion barn, untacking and grooming Bravery before going to his cabin. He showered and changed into a blue checkered button up shirt and jeans. He checked himself in the mirror and quickly gelled his hair a bit to make it a bit messy and washed a bit of mud still smeered across his cheek. He paused, wondering if Chance was allowed to come before shrugging and calling the shepherd over. He's well trained enough to know how to behave! And he made his way towards the event hall.

After unpacking, Molly wandered around, curious. She noticed a boy, well more like a man, standing at one of the round pens working a stallion - or maybe a gelding. She walked over. "Hello there!"

Jay grabbed his dog and quickly unloaded the Gelding and Mare from his trailer, leading them to the barns before taking his stuff to his cabin and getting into something more presentable. He then made his way to the Event hall, passing a guy a bit younger than him in a blue shirt and making him think if he was wearing something too formal, before shrugging and making his way inside.

Ethan walked over to the Event hall, where he would meet all the other riders, including his sister. He has not seen her since their arrival and only hoped that she will not overdo her outfit and makeup. He opened the door to the hall and found himself in a large open room with tables and a dance floor. I won’t dance tonight, not at all! He looked over the people he could see. There was a guy in rather casual clothes right in front of him, a girl in a grey dress talking to a man, whose face he could not see. And at a table was a girl sitting all alone, though there were already people around. He walked over to her and sat down right next to her. He held out his hand for her to shake: “Hi, I’m Ethan Cross and you are..?” Waiting for her response, he saw her dog laying at her feet without moving at all. “This is your dog, I guess?” He said, pointing at the German Shephard.

It’s time, huh? Cara looked at the clock on the wall. She just finished her decent, bu classic makeup: Some slim eyeliner, high-quality mascara and lip gloss, a tone darker than her dress and matching her nail polish. Her hair was falling in waves, with some slim braids from her forehead to the back of her head. She left her room and the cabin. Once outside she stopped and looked around, trying to find someone else to accompany her on her way.

Nico entered the event hall and saw that he was the first one. What a great role model I am! He walked around in the hall and looked at every little decorative piece. He has been in here a few times since he became the vet at the RREC but it was an impressive view every time. Lost in thought, he first did not realize that others were arriving. Only when a young girl in a short grey dress talked to him, he looked back at the entrance. “Oh, hi. I’m Dr Nicolas Shery, the vet around here. But you can call me Nic or Nico, that’s way shorter and easier in emergencies.” Nico hated nothing more than being called to an emergency with a ‘Dr Shery’, that sounded too important for him. He looked at the other arriving guests. All these riders look so young, I feel reeaally old around them, I mean I’m getting 30 years old in a few months! He just saw the brown labrador at Rory’s heels. He crouched down and held a hand out for the dog to sniff. “And you are..?”

“Nice to meet you Nico.” When he talked to her lab she nodded, “This is Lei. I’ve had her for a couple of years.” Lei lifted her paw and placed it in the doctor’s hand to shake. It was one of the dog’s favorite tricks. Rory rubbed her ears, proud that she remembered it. The lab thumped her tail against the ground and turned her head when the door opened. Chance walked in and Lei went to go play with him, ignoring the shepherd in the corner. Rory looked back up at the man and starting conversation by asking, “What made you want to be a doctor?” she played with her locket while she waited for an answer.

Avalon was very close to destroying the flowers in the center when a man sat down next to her. She immediately started to blush, Why did he choose to sit next to me? Is he going to tell me I have something on my face? Oh no, I have something on my face, don’t I? She moved her hand across her face, checking. Nothing. So why-? She turned towards him when he spoke. Ethan Cross. Hm. She shook his hand, her grip was light and clammy, “I’m Avalon Davis. Hello Ethan Cross.” She blushed again. Maddox lifted his head when Ethan spoke once more. She rubbed his ears and his tail thumped at her touch, “Yes, he’s my dog. This is Maddox.” The Shepherd smelled the man’s hands and then licked them. Ethan must be a good person, then, if Maddox warmed up to him that quickly. “He-he likes you.” She moved her hands to her lap, angry at herself for being so awkward.

Valour grinned as Lei came over from where her owner stood, talking to a man. "Hey puppy." He scratched behind the Lab's ears before making his way further inside. He came up beside Rory and nodded to the man with a smile. "Hello! I'm Valour." Chance came running up behind him, knocking into him and making him stumble slightly.

After saying hello to Liam and leaving, she made her way towards the Hall where dinner was being held and smiled as Willow came padding towards her from the barns. The cat purred and rubbed her head against Molly's legs and she patted the lilac siamese. She wore an emerald green dress, it came down to her knees and had little sleeves that covered her shoulders. Her ombre hair was out as she made her way inside, spotting Valour and Nico -as well as a girl who she didn't know. "Hi!"

Alissa looked at herself with her now curled hair and dark red dress and velvety red heels. She smiled to herself in the mirror excited to see her sister. She walked towards the event hall and she heard a loud squeak. There stood her sister Mkayla in a sky blue dress with light blue heels to match. She bolted into a run and hugged Alissa tightly. "Oh my god I can't believe you got here after all that talk we had on how long it would take" giggled Kayla. "No I've been planning for awhile to leave but what fun would it be to surprise you" giggled Malissa. "Shall we?" grinned Kayla looking so young, beautiful, and full of life. "Sure" smiled Malissa taking Kayla's hand and leading her into the event hall and towards where the dinner would be held. "Don't embarrass yourself like you did at banquet" whispered Alissa into Mkayla's ear teasingly. Kayla punched her in the arm playfully rolling her eyes. Kayla wondered if they were supposed to seat so she and her sister chatted silently.

For Jacob getting ready for dinner had involved switching into his chair. He had worked too hard and worn out the his fragile body.
