Anna-19-Donnie-tags: Lucy
With Donnie safely off the trailer and hand-grazing peacefully next to her, Anna finally took the time to look around. The grounds were just as impressive as she had expected, and why shouldn't they be? Red River was a prestigious institution! She could already see a few people and horses working in the arenas and round pen and she felt another twinge of anxiety, what if everyone here was better than her? Sure she'd been relatively successful on the East Coast show circuits, but this was Texas where everything, including the competition, was supposed to be bigger and better. She shook her head, now was not the time to entertain her insecurities. She needed to get Donnie taken care of.
She knew he was supposed to be in the Stallion Barn, but she didn't have the slightest clue where that was. She scanned the throng of people for someone to ask, and spotted a girl looking in her direction before turning to unload her horse. The simple glance didn't exactly scream "I'm friendly! Come talk to me!", but acknowledgement of her existence was all Anna needed. "Hey!" she called, dragging her pinto behind her, the gelding snorting in displeasure as she tore him away from the patch of grass he'd been devouring "You wouldn't happen to know where the Stallion Barn is do you?"
