The dust began to rise off the gravel road as a grey GMC Sierra maneuvered down the long winding road that led to Red River Equestrian Center. Kody, a young man who had recently come to the stables, was in the passenger seat, with his "assistant", Cowboy, a red Australian Shepard. He could hear his horses whinnying in the trailer, anxious to be let out. He had been traveling for almost four hours, and was relieved when he saw the large sign that said, "Red River Equestrian Center". He turned onto the property, past beautiful wooden gates that resembled horse heads. He soon approached the parking area. He noticed a few other new riders entering the stables for the first time. "At least we're not alone," he said to the red-furred dog. He found a place to park, and got out, letting Cowboy out as well. He circled around back to his three horse trailer, and unlatched and opened the doors, revealing two beautiful Quarter horses. He led out both of them, one was a gray mare named Kerosene and the other was a dark blue roan named Smokey. He led both of them out of the trailer, and into the barn. "Alright, so where am I supposed to put y'all?" He asked out loud, looking around. He saw that each stall had a nameplate with the horse's name and the owner's name as well. Before too long, he had found both horses stalls, and they were both settled in. He then went back to his trailer to unload all his tack and belongings.
