Astrid's eyes fluttered open and she exhaled a shuddering breath that came out like mist in the freezing air. Her neck hurt from where she remembered a syringe injecting something into her bloodstream before all went black. Bright fluorescent lights shined down on her, and she gazed up at the ceiling. Her hand went up to her face, and she could feel the slick blood, and her fingers came away red. A small cut ran across her cheek and she could feel the bruises along her neck and legs. It was clear she didn't go without a fight. The room she was in was abnormally cold, and the steel metal table she was lying on left a burning sensation on her skin. The only thing separating herself from the platform was a thin, silky, tight-fitting jumpsuit. She stood up shakily, still in shock. Her muscles were sore, and she stretched before moving any further. Astrid crept towards the door and turned the doorknob slowly. She walked out into the hallway and looked both ways before calling out. "Salut?!"

Unwillingly his reflexes yanked the man's grip from his wrists, he couldn't hear anything anyone was saying only up to the point her heard him say something about them being in the same situation as him and not being the freaks that go them all in here, suddenly he froze looked at the floor blankly then relaxed his arms even though the other one was in severe pain, he could almost feel as if something was cutting at his nervous but it didn't seem to affect him, he took a brief breath and looked up but not at the man, as if in a way of submission to his fate, and all as if nothing had happened and he wasn't just about to rip out his arm, his eyes were blank and low as he almost automatically walked away and leaned against the wall staying mute. He thought he was really free from waking up in random places and he could finally do his best to settle the past in the past but apparently nightmares weren't enough, in that moment all together he simply gave up trying to keep his head above water and felt himself sink.

I realized that I shouldn't have said my panicked thoughts out loud, but it was too late now. When the boy pulled his arms back, I let him go and didn't take my eyes off of him as he walked across the room and slumped into the doorframe looking defeated. His eyes stayed on the ground I noticed, and he looked like he had given up. I look over at the girls and think for a moment. "No pain killers? Do you think you can find anything to numb whatever pain he's in right now for me?" I ask Blake, my green eyes wide and hopeful. I then turn to Jamie and and furrow my brows as I think of possible outcomes from helping this boy. He could attack again, he could start to bleed if that needle or whatever does come out, maybe he passes out... A billion thoughts race through my mind before I snap my fingers. "Jamie, can you look for some gauze and alcohol wipes? Please?" I ask, hoping they could find something while I worked with his arm.
I slowly walk back to where the boy was standing against the door frame, crouching down slightly to look at his face. "Hey..." I say soothingly, placing my hand on the side of his face and bringing it up to look at me. "I'm gonna help you, is that ok?" I ask him in a soft voice, my hand going from his face and into his hand, the one that had a needle in it.

Jamie nodded as she walked digging through the drawers before finding a second door, she opened it into an almost identical room as she searched the doors and found some gauze and digging through another cabinet finding wipes walking back her arms full. “Bingo” She crouched so she wasn’t to close put enough to hand Everly the gauze and wipes, “Be careful that the needle isn’t jagged or anything or we could make this a hell lot worse” She looked at the kid, “Be sure to make sure it’s not in a main artery or vein or if we pull it out we could have more blood than we can handle.” She watched Everly, “If Any of that is at risk, we’d need a knife but it looks like it’s ok”

Lex snapped out of his blank trance soon enough and squinted at the girl, "I was just about to rip the damn thing out and you're telling me let's rip it out your way?" he scoffed rolling his eyes still having his arms crossed looking away, but suddenly at the feel of someone touching his face he released his arms and shoved him off immediately, "Touch me again I'll kill you" he said then turning towards the girl pulling out different items than he's chosen, "and no I don't need your help". He then walked over grabbing the supplies, "I don't need pain reliever", he mumbled slightly unwilling to explain why, he then went to the sink and turned the water all the way up clogging the drain with a plastic bag he found in the cabinet and laid out the materials, once the sink seemed full enough he took the wire and clenched it in his teeth to bend the top. He unbuckled his belt and put it in his mouth as he took a brief breath and pressed the wire along the middle of his elbow where the metal seemed to be sticking out the most, once he traced where he was going to cut and soon grabbed the scalpel and winced as he began slowly slicing where he had traced as he did everything he could not to squeeze both of of his eyes. Blood came gushing out as he made a muffled yell, his hand was trembling so he quickly put the scalpel down and pulled at his skin, but suddenly the belt dropped from his mouth, there was no muscle, flesh, or bone, his entire left arm was solid metal, he began breathing heavily as he tried to force his focus back onto sewing his skin shut again, he grabbed a thinner thread like wire and a sharper pen like tool, he poked holes as symmetrical as possible till trembling from the pain with sweat rolling down his forehead already he began pulling the thin wire through the holes like tying a shoe, he clenched his teeth unable to pick up the belt nearly screeching almost giving up.
