Shiloh Fray
22 / male / vaquero
at; the saloon tagged; Bailey, Casimir, Robbie
Shiloh looked down at the bar, tapping his fingers against the surface before reaching into his jacket for a cigarette. He lit the stick and took a long drag before he nodded his head slowly. He trusted Bailey with his life, let alone his time and effort, so if Bailey says they're going East, East Shiloh will go. In the two years he's known Bailey, Shiloh has learnt how reliable and levelheaded he generally is. There's no other way to say it, he trusts him emphatically.
He didn't miss the pointed looks Bailey have himself and Casimir. That would be a shame, he was only just getting to know Cass. But he supposed that there wasn't much to be done.

“A week,” Shiloh stated before taking another pull from his cigarette, wrapping his head around it. "Got it, Bailey."

        BAILEY
[ leader ][ the silver spur saloon ][ robbie, shiloh, casimir, maybelle ]

At Shiloh’s response, Bailey’s expressions lightened. He clapped him on the shoulder, a smile on his face. “That’s my boy,” He exclaimed with a laugh, “Don’t be so down about it. We’re coming back.” He had heard Maybelle speak in caution but only took that as a mere suggestion. He knew how to settle his crew, but they were generally loyal to him. “May I?” He asked, nodding toward Shiloh’s cigarette. He needed something to clear the fog that the had alcohol left behind.

Cass swallowed, and remained relatively composed. It wasn't any of his business, so he had no right to object or comment anything. He held the intense stare that Bailey was giving him, though he was nowhere near as intensive or serious. He almost broke and glanced away, but then Cass just lightly smiled. "East, huh? Off to find some new land or a place to settle?" he asked, as if he was interested. He reminded himself thar cowboys moved from place to place all the time. He couldn't possibly expect them to stay in town. Besides, they'd - he and Shiloh - only just met.
He took a deep breath, then glanced down the bar, where a few customers were waiting, and the other working barman was not going as quickly as they probably should be. "Excuse me. Customers to serve." Casimir said, and he walked off, to serve the waiting customers, leaning back slightly as one or two leaned forwards as they made their demands. He worked without complaint, though, pouring out pints and other drinks, and taking payments as needed.

Shiloh handed his cigarette over to Bailey with no hesitation, their hands brushing in the exchange. Shiloh couldn't help but smile when Bailey was smiling, it was as contagious as anything. Shiloh could often get lost in his own head, observing and calculating, but Bailey was often the one metaphorically (or literally) shaking him out of it.
“Yeah, Bailey, what's so special out in the East that you want us to move along so fast,” his tone was teasing again, settling into his usual calm disposition, trying to feel less bothered by their imminent departure.

Maybelle

Female||The Saloon||Tagged:Robbie, Bailey,Shiloh,Casimir

She stood and put some money down hopping off the stool, “I’m gonna go on and walk home, before t get’s to awful dark. I’m a bit far but I’ll see you all tomorrow” she smiled and gave a wave to the bar patrons and hiked up her skirt and walked out the doors and began her treck out of town towards her farm, it was only a little ways away, over a hill or two and some sand and she’d be there. She watched the doors swing shut and watched the fading sunlight drag the shadows into the dark. She started her treck holding her bag over one shoulder and kicked off Her heels and pulled out her boots as she slipped them on and started out of town in the early night

Taking the cigarette, he wasn’t oblivious to their hands brushing and Bailey subconsciously focused on that moment a little too long. Drawing in a drag from it, he turned the stick around and held it out for Shiloh to take back in his own mouth. Exhaling the smoke through his nose, a slow grin creeped up on his lips. “Everything you could possibly think of, Shiloh.” He replied, his eyes no longer hazed but looked just like they did when he talked about it with Robbie. Full of wonder and excitement. “Land to conquer, treasure..” He let his words trail off as he spun around in his seat so that his back faced the bar, leaning back and putting his elbows up on it. “The Vaqueros’ future is in the East.” He added, almost in a mumble, his gaze staring far.

Shiloh took another pull from the cigarette, thinking about the possibilities. If he pushed away his disappointment over Casimir, he could imagine how exciting this actually was. Shiloh does inherently have a wonder lust in him, and he had been in one place long enough to start to feel that itch to move on. He'd missed being out in the wide open spaces on Maurice, the feel of that speedy little horse moving under him. So yeah, he was looking forward to that aspect. Especially since that was when he felt closest to the other vanqueros.
He took another drag.

“You gonna find me some treasure out there, Bails?” he spoke with a grin, his voice full ofsuggestion. "Find me something worth my time?"

(( lol does that work as a nickname or not really ? xD))

        BAILEY
[ leader ][ the silver spur saloon ][ shiloh ]

Shiloh’s voice snapped him back to reality, and he immediately looked over to the cowboy with a smile. “I could.. depending on what you’re wanting.” He teased back, then added, “Is coming along with your good ole leader Bailey not worth enough of your time?”

He too couldn’t wait to be out on the open plains again. Bailey loved his little ranch home and farm but traveling, with no civilization to hold you down, that was the meaning of freedom. If he could, he would head out right now ahead of time. Whether he had everything he needed to survive or not. It was like an addiction, to be free. Not to worry about anything, no rules. Just you and the wide open plains.

          [ it totally works! I think it’s a cute nickname ^^ ]

Casimir was slightly lost in thought as he served the other customers. He'd never heard of anyone going East before - all he knew was that it was meant to be potentially dangerous, but possibly also rewarding to go. He didn't know how true either of those statements were, though, obviously. He almost completely didn't hear what one of the customers was asking him - if he was going to play anything on the piano that evening. Cass just shook his head slightly, explaining that he was pretty much the only one working at the moment, but perhaps he would tomorrow evening, when there was another competent staff member or two. Cass mostly stayed the other side of the bar, away from the Bailey, Shiloh and Robbie, since he wasn't sure if he was even going to be welcome in their conversation, though he knew that their company was more pleasant than his current one, with the people that he was serving.

Shiloh snickered, taking the last pull of his cigarette before pulling out another. It was just that sort of night.
“Aw Bailey, you know I only love you for your money,” he joked, smiling at his own joke before passing off his new cigarette to Bailey. He was sure his friend wouldn't think he was serious, Bailey knew him too well for that.
Shiloh wasn't sure what they would get up to on their journey, but he was sure that there was no way the trek would be uneventful. The freedom that came with being on the move also came with an amount of anonymity, and frankly, Shiloh was feeling that he might have to dabble in some deviance this time around.
Obviously he was far better off now that he had the vanqueros, but he did have yearnings for the thrill of the less than legal activities he used to utilise to get by. There was just something about it he hadn't been able to shake.
He turned to face where he could see Cass at the other end of the bar.

"Hey Cass," he raised his voice so Casimir would be able to hear him over the noise of the saloon, "could you swing some shots of whiskey over here, please?" Shiloh made puppy-dog eyes at Cass from across the bar, he just couldn't resist.
