Emilia saw a group of people get together, she assumed it was the other heirs. The heir smiled and made her way over there,
“Hola!” She kept her smile, the first thing she didn’t want to do was make a bad impression. Then again, she was very excited to be there and may come off as a bit hyper. She looked at everyone noting a few things about their appearance, when she looked at Lukas he seemed rather intimidating it scared her a little not that she would show it, Emilia didn’t want to be rude either.

Flipping her long wavy hair over one shoulder, Izabelle pulled her wheeled suitcases in the direction of the other heirs. From the looks of it, only about half of the heirs had arrived. Which meant they'd have to wait. Smothering a tired sigh, she offered a small wave as she got closer to the other singles and tried to hide the pained look on her tanned face. Izabelle stopped abruptly and let go of her smaller suitcase, wincing at the bolt of pain that laced down her shoulder and through her arm. She let out an annoyed huff and grabbed the suitcase handle, telling herself to suck it up.

jaya didn't pause when she entered the meeting area, there were few people milling around there and with a quick sweep she honed in on a group of people. to her it was rather obvious they were not your average people. the fluctuation in language only confirmed her assumption as she came closer. the absence of the swedish heir annoyed her but she quickly pushed it down, as the host nation she would have thought the young heiress would have been the first to arrive but it seemed she was wrong. she noticed the heir of spain join the group just before her and came to a stop next to her, giving the girl a nod before she addressed the group, "hello, i'm glad i'm not the last to arrive, i'm jayashri, heiress of india." she gave a smile in greeting as she looked around the group of heirs, however she was a rather serious person, so her gaze stayed rather neutral. the english felt odd on her tongue, it had been too long since she had spoken it.

tadala beamed when the other heir recognized her, "yes! tadala arendse, princess of south africa at your service! besides, which other royal would get your name right the first try?" she teased, hands clasped together and a grin on her face as she looked down at her fellow heiress. she hadn't met mirembe before in person, pictures and news feed were what she knew the other by. even when she had accompanied her family around africa to get acquainted with the royals of each country after her family's return to power, she had somehow missed mirembe. besides, mirembe was the only other heir from her continent at the meeting so she had been looking forward to connecting with her. she indicated that they should keep walking, "honestly i'm just looking for arrow signs and baggage symbols. swedish is not my strong suit."

---- Luka is mildly curious as to where Alois and Li met previously and a little entertained at Ruben's obvious issue with being short, he does essentially nothing to hide it. Already he can tell that things are going to be significantly crazier than he expected. If he weren't twenty four, he'd be expecting grey hairs to magically start appearing on his head. When Alois responds in German he suppresses the urge to sigh, since it wasn't entirely false, but Luka still felt that it wasn't a justified complaint. After all, they weren't here to have fun. They weren't anywhere to have fun. It simply wasn't part of the job description. When the other man than tacks on a comment about how it's never the time or place, the corners of Luka's mouth twitch up into... drum roll please... a small smile. Of course, his rare smiles still aren't expressive and are borderline smirks, but it's about the equivalent of someone else laughing loudly. He hasn't smiled in awhile. "You're right. When something never has a time or place, it generally means it shouldn't be done." At least Alois had used his real name when talking to Ruben.

"I have to agree with Alois, I'm impressed with your cheerfulness after a flight that long. Anything upwards of five and I begin to consider the emergency parachutes as an option." Although his words have the making of a joke, it's rather hard to tell if Luka is being serious or sarcastic. He does partake in athletics and extreme sports, but it wouldn't be professional to dodge meetings by leaping out of airplanes, so it's a tossup as to whether or not Luka was being literal. As they were talking the Heir of Spain bounces over- and bouncing really is the only word for it. "Hola, eres Emilia, supongo. Acabamos de empezar a hablar. Meet Ruben of Norway, Li of China, Alois of Germany, and I'm Luka of Poland."

Glancing over his shoulder he looks back around to see where everybody else is. There are still a couple other heirs in the terminal that haven't made their way over, either because they're still walking or because they're in pairs talking. It isn't any hurry, since the Heir of Sweden hasn't arrived yet. It's poor form, but there's surely a reason, and if worse comes to worse they can all just travel to the palace and meet up with her there. Luka finds himself idly wondering why their parents all agreed on Sweden for the engagements/meetings/get together/whatever this thing is.

He seriously considered refusing to shake Alois's hand, but as it would go against his need to appear as though he was an upstanding member of royalty, he shook his hand briefly. Ruben then nodded slightly in acknowledgment, "We're rather early, so it doesn't matter - she's meant to arrive at two, and it's currently quarter past one," he said, recalling what he had been told once. Was it right? Maybe. It sounded better than saying he didn't know, or he wasn't sure. He watched Lukas and Alois interact, and he raised an eyebrow, as if curious. He couldn't quite believe that he'd never really formally met any of the others before, as he wondered if he was missing something. By the time they were joined by a couple more heirs - Spain and India - he resigned himself to the fact that there was no way he was not going to be surrounded by tall people, and resolved that he was just going to have to stick with everyone who was actually shorter than him. It was petty, he knew that, but it didn't mean that he wasn't going to flunk on formalities as and when they were needed.

Glancing towards the heir of India, Jaya, a look of recognition crossed his face. "It has been a while, Jayashri," Ruben said to her, with a light smile. He then glowered for a moment at Lukas. "I am capable of introducing myself, thank you," he said, his tone a little cold, but still somewhat formal. For Emilia, he figured that she and Chengxie would get along just fine, because it seemed that she was bouncing and full of energy as well. He hoped that it wouldn't get too exhausting. Ruben then wonders if Lukas had made some sort of sarcastic joke - he didn't seem like the sort to make any kind of joke - but he doesn't particularly react in any way. "I just need a good sleep for a night or two, then I'll be ready to partake in some sport or another. Ice hockey, specifically. Or skiing. Are any of you familiar with either of them?" he asks, glancing around.

She bounced a little on her heels, pleased that she got it right. "Oh, that's excellent!" Then, as if remembering who she was, she calmed down a little, "It's good to finally meet you properly. I'm not sure how we managed to keep missing each other, I'm sure we've been in attendance to some of the same events together, haven't we? Ivory Coast, I'm sure was one of them." Mirembe said, as she thought about it. She'd been to various events and meetings with other royal families within Africa, but she couldn't believe that the two of them had not yet met, with the amount of events that had been hosted - and, of course, with Tadala's family returning to power. Perhaps, she thought, they might have met earlier, if Uganda had hosted an event. She laughed quietly, and glanced at the signs. "Well, I vaguely know what to look out for, but I must have forgotten or just didn't notice partway through walking around here... we must be quite close now, though,"

chengxie couldn't help but chuckle at both alois' and lukas' comments about the ten hour flight. 'well, i don't know if the saying is everywhere but my grandma used to tell me: 一笑解千愁,' he spoke, the smile still not disappearing off of his face 'it basically means that a smile can erase a million worries' chengxie soon explained in order to avoid leaving everyone confused. 'i don't know how much you may believe it but i certainly do,' he added with a soft shrug.

when the two heiresses joined the group, chengxie bowed once more. he stood in his bowing position for a few seconds extra, mainly due to the comment that ruben made towards lukas. sure, it didn't really involve him, but the cold tone that the heir of norway spoke in made him hesitate for a second. soon enough, however, chengxie was brought himself back up and smiled at the two. 'it is a pleasure to meet the two of you,' he announced as he looked from one heiress to the other.

---- Luka gives Jayashiri a courteous nod when she comes into the group, waiting to introduce himself until doing so wouldn't involve talking over another person, since interrupting is the deadliest sin of conversation. "I'm Lukas of Poland, it's an honor to meet you." From what he's heard of the young Heiress, she wasn't the type to shirk her duties or take advantage of their position to live frivolously, so his impression of her based on second hand information is rather good. Presumably, the next two weeks will just confirm that conclusion, but you never know. Luka ended up not having time to reply to Li's explanation of his family's saying before the Heir shifted attention to the two newcomers to the group, which was fine because he doesn't particularly agree with it. Hard work fixes problems, which in turns alleviates worries. He's never known a smile to do much of anything.

Ruben's snap at Emilia's arrival surprised Luka, but he's beginning to see that the Norwegian isn't the type to keep any emotion, feeling, or thought to himself for any length of time. He doesn't respond to the burst of anger, though he does give Ruben a small look. At the other man's question, he pauses a beat to see if anyone else is going to answer, before replying. After all, he didn't get the impression that Ruben liked him very much. "I've played some ice hockey. What type of skiing do you mean? Downhill or jump?" When Lukas was growing up he spent most of his time studying, but a couple times a day he would take breaks to train in various other athletics or skill based activities. Mostly, he did football, fencing, and chess when he wasn't working on academics, but he also dabbled in most everything else to develop a well rounded education of the 'real world'. Of course, competing against his siblings in irrelevant pursuits like racing iceboats to 'earn the privilege' of accompanying their Ambassadors on trips was far from the real world... but being talented in popular Polish sports served to bridge the gap between the royalty and citizens, so he took it as seriously as his other studies. Regardless, he'd much rather ski with the smaller man than play hockey. With the sibling rivalry he grew up with, they all developed ruthless checks.

for a moment, jaya felt off guard although it didn't show on her face. she had known ruben would be there but actually seeing her a childhood friend was.. strange. she didn't like someone knowing how she'd been as a child before she had been as put together as she was now, but she returned his smile with one of her own, smaller but friendlier this time. when luka introduced himself she gave a nod in return to the taller heir and her gaze turned to chengxie, there she returned his gesture, hers with her hands pressed together at her chest as she bowed. as the two greeted her one after the other she responded to both at once, "the honors mine." it truly was, she had little experience with the young heirs of foreign countries and while she had worked on many diplomatic endeavors, she had always spoken to the head diplomates. from what she knew of the others, not including ruben, lukas was someone she could respect but that could change rather quickly. chengxie was.. another matter and if what she had heard was true, it would be a long week. at ruben's inquiry, she almost grimaced. snow sports were not her thing, especially since india only rarely got snow anywhere besides the himalayan foothills. she waited for luka to finish and ruben to respond so to not be rude, before she nodded and gave her contribution, "snow sports are not common in india but i did ski and skate when i was young. " martial arts were her usual sport of choice when she wasn't working.

"i did go there, it's a tad strange that we never managed to meet." tadala wondered whether it had been her parents doing in a way. they never left her alone for the majority of her life and after the accident they had only been worse. maybe if she had been left to explore the conferences herself it would have been easier to meet the other heirs her age. as they walked, she nodded in agreement, "jet-lag does that to you, especially with the trip being about half a day right?" the corners of her lips quirked up at the thought that if they truly were lost, would the others send a search party? one where the airport security officers drive around on those ridiculously large carts, maybe even with lights flashing. she squinted at a sign in the distance and continued, "i think we go right there. man, this airport makes me feel as if i've never been in one before." she laughed lightly.
