♢ only minor cursing allowed but during this time, bad language was frowned upon.
♢ You may only have 2 character.
♢ All characters must be between the ages of 16-20. No older or younger will be accepted.
♢ You must post one good paragraph per post, this includes good grammar and at least 4 good sentences.
♢ Pm me for reservations, they will only last 48 hours.
♢ Respect the other roleplayings and do not argue OOC.
♢ The Selected are all females but can be any sexuality, heterosexual or bisexual is prefered.

♦ The Selection Rules

♢The contestant cannot leave the palace on her own accord—she can only be dismissed by the prince himself.
♢ There is no timeline for the Selection—it can last from days to years.
♢ The contestant cannot arrange her times with the prince. If in a large social setting, this rule does not apply.
♢ The contestant cannot fight or sabotage other participants. If the contestant is found laying her hands on another contestant, causing her stress, stealing from her, or doing anything that might diminish her personal relationship with the prince, the prince will decide whether to dismiss her or not.
♢ The contestant can only have a romantic relationship with the prince. If the contestant is caught in a relationship with someone else, it is considered treason and punishable by death.
♢ If the contestant is found breaking any of Illéa's written laws, her punishment will be tied to that offense.
♢ The contestant cannot eat food or wear any clothes not provided to her by the palace.
♢ The contestant must be courteous to photographers, and allow them to see her lifestyle with the prince.
♢ For each week the contestant stays at the palace, her family will be compensated.
♢ If the contestant is no longer in the Selection, she will have an aide to help her adjust to her new life after the Selection. Her aide will help the contestant find new housing and employment.
♢ If the contestant makes it to the top four, she is considered an Elite, and will be required to learn about particular inner workings of the life and obligations she would have as a princess. Until then, the contestant is not permitted to seek out such information.
♢ The contestant's caste number is automatically raised to a Three, unless she was already a Three prior to being Selected. Her family's caste remains the same. If the contestant was already a Two prior to the Selection, her and her family's status will remain the same.
♢ If the contestant wins the Selection, she and her family will become Ones and members of the royal family. The contestant will also marry the prince and become the crowned princess of Illéa, taking on all the rights and responsibilities of the title.
♢ The contestant must be a virgin.
♢ If the prince invites the contestant to do something with him, she cannot refuse—regardless if it's dinner, outings, kissing, and even more than kissing.

♢♢♢ These rules can be and always are broken, but if the royalty discovers any of the Selected has purposefully broken one of the rules, they will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. If you're gonna break some laws, have the decency to be discreet.

Information

♦ Castes

Gregory Illéa set up the caste system in order to restore order and control to the new world. Reminiscent of the hierarchies of feudal societies, there is a place for everyone in the caste system (no matter how undesirable). There are a total of eight castes, each exclusive for a certain profession or type of person. Around 75% of the selected girls come from the first four castes and the remaining 25% from castes 5, 6, and 7. There has yet to be a selected girl from caste eight. While not impossible, it is extremely hard to move up in a caste, while fairly easier to be demoted down. As Gregory Illéa himself once said: the smaller the [caste] number, the greater the privilege.

♢ [ c a s t e 1 ] The most exclusive caste, the first caste is reserved only for royalty and religious figures. As of now, only the Shreave family (and relatives of this family) can be considered Ones, and they demand the highest level of respect from Illéans.

♢ [ c a s t e 2 ] The second caste is reserved for celebrities. Famous athletes, actors/actresses, singers, models, politicians, military members, firefighters, and guards are considered Twos, and they are well-known for living lives of incredible affluence.

♢ [ c a s t e 3 ] Those with great minds find themselves in the third caste. Inventors, teachers, philosophers, scientists, doctors, veterinarians, dentists, architects, librarians, engineers, therapists/psychologists, film directors, music producers, lawyers, and writers are all known to be part of the third caste, as are former selected girls are part of this caste, unless they were a Two beforehand.

♢ [ c a s t e 4 ] This caste consists of the businesspeople: construction managers, business/property owners, farmers, real estate agents, insurance brokers, jewelers, and head chefs are all vital professions which thrive in caste number four. Many successful Fours can lead extremely wealthy lives, not unlike the Twos.

♢ [ c a s t e 5 ] Artists and performers such as stage actors, classical musicians, singers, dancers, photographers and circus performers are all in caste five. While a tiny percentage of Fives can move up to the status of a Two with the right funding and fame, most live rather meager lives, entertaining Fours, Threes, Twos, and if they're lucky, perhaps even a One. While not the most intregal to society, their talents and artistry are appreciated, especially during the holiday season.

♢ [ c a s t e 6 ] Caste six is made up of the working industry: the secretaries, waiters/waitresses, housekeepers, seamstresses, store clerks, cooks, and drivers. They are the regular faces you see everyday, dutifully performing the "dirty work" of other, more affluent people. Their lives are far from glamourous, but they are necessary to Illéa and are often romanticised for their more frugal, "traditional" lifestyles.

♢ [ c a s t e 7 ] Sevens almost always have their hands dirty (literally). Made up of the manual labor workforce, gardeners, construction workers, farm hands, gutter/pool cleaners, trash collectors, ditch diggers, and movers are all labeled as Sevens. Rarely does a selected girl from the seventh caste-- as beauty is a large contender on whether or not a girl is Selected, the Sevens with their larger muscles and dirty hands are rarely viable as an option.

♢ [ c a s t e 8 ] The eighth caste is the lowest you can go, full of the untouchables and the unspeakables. Mentally/physically unwell people, addicts, runaways, illegitimates, the homeless, and traitors to the crown make their miserable living out in the furthest reaches of Illéan territory. Left in the streets to beg, the other castes usually try their best to turn a blind eye to the Eights.

♦ Setting

♢ [ Castle ] The main setting is the royal castle where the royal family resides. It is protected at all times by the Castle Guards and is taken care of by the Maids, Butlers, and just the Castle Staff. It is a magnificent white building with black roofed top. It has a small body of water and a forest. Inside the great walls that surround it is many rooms and a large garden.

▪ [ The Garden ] This is a beautiful place inside the castle walls where there are flowers, trees, and is just filled with nature. A stone path travels through it, with benches sitting along it at random places.

▪ [ The Great Room ] This is a large ball room where all large events are held.

▪ [ The Women's Room ] This is a simple and normally quite room for all the women of the castle. It is a place to rest and to relax after everything. It is also the place where the Selected will spend quite a bit of time together in and is the first room they will all meet to get their makeovers in.

▪ [ The Dinning Hall ] This is a room with a large table in the center of it where everyone eats their meals. At it's head sits three chairs that are closer to thrones than regular chairs, these are where the Royals sit to eat.

▪ [ The Selected's Rooms ] These are the rooms that all the selected will be staying in while they are at the palace. Each Selected may chance the rooms as they wish or else they will stay the same. The rooms are cleaned by each selected's maids.

▪ [ The Royal's Rooms ] Each Royal's rooms are slightly different but each has relatively the same look. Each has a large bed, several places to sit, a fireplace, a balcony, and a study.

♢ [ Provinces ] There are technically 35 provinces in this country but I will only be using 10 to lessen the amount of people we need. I will leave up relatively how they look to everyone but I will provide a map for you so that you may know what kind of climate each province has.

♦ History

During the third world war, Gregory Illéa singlehandedly held up the assault against Russia, leading the battered Unites States of America into a new age, rebirthing it as a new country, one that did not hold the soiled reputation of the old name, one that resurrected hope. Illéa.

Over two hundred years later, the country remains more prosperous than ever, order established through the caste system, the poll numbers higher than ever in favor for the Schreaves, the royal family which has led Illéa through both the light and the dark for over over two centuries.

While the Northern Rebels and Illéa have more or less maintained a very, very tentative treaty for the past few generations due to some inner palace connections, the bloodthirsty Southern rebels, not even able to fathom the possibility of compromising in any way with the current government, lurk in the shadows, waiting.

Now, it is time for the Selection, where ten girls are chosen in contest for one crown. Winning means certain fame, certain wealth, certain power. The selected not only have the chance to win the prince's hand but to also bear the authority of the crown, to rule alongside him, to have equal dominion over the fate of Illéa.

It sounds too good to be true. And for nine, it will be. The selected have come and the rebels are coming. Some girls see opportunity, some see fairy-tale endings, and some see war, waged not with guns and knives but with whispers and lies. After all, everyone who has something to gain also has something to lose. What are you willing to risk in order to win?

♢ [ King ] The King rules over Illéa and makes the larger decisions for the country. He is also a figure head and is in charge of running the country as smoothy as possible. He has a big role in helping to choose the Princess and normally has a greater influence on the Prince and his decision.

♦ The Selected

♢ The Selected are 10 girls, one from each province. They are all between the ages of 16 and 20 and have been randomly selected to come to the castle as guests of the prince. When it is down to 4 girls, they will be considered the elite. 1 of the final 4 standing will be chosen by the prince to marry. The girls who aren't chosen will go home, keeping the caste of 3 which they received for just being selected.

▪ "Welcome back to The Report! Today is the arrival of our beloved young ladies. Their day is going to filled with a new makeover by only the best stylist in all of Illéa. All girls in every province is going to want to be just like each of them after this. New gowns, new hair, new nails, and a new look to impress our very own Prince Kalum. After their makeover, they will be sent to their rooms where they will be able to style them however they wish and will be introduced to their three maids who will be caring for them during their stay. The next day will come with the first meeting with the Prince and his parents, King William and Queen Amelia. From there own, the Prince will eliminate those he knows he will not fall in love with and spend one on one time with each girl. Let the Selection begin!"
