Ari nodded and stretched his limbs. "Yeah sure, gotta.. we need more clips, I can't support three people on ten bullets, even if it's for hunting. That's enough to get a squirrel or two." he was exaggerating, he was a good shot but even trained gunmen missed, and he wasn't keen on running out in three days. "Think you can win Beatrice over? Or Eve? They won't listen to me"

Zack raised a slightly irritated eyebrow. "You know, you won't be the only one using that gun. I'm a fairly good shot myself and I'm definitely going to be expecting a turn with it." She smirked slightly, though she wasn't exactly joking. "I can try, though. I might be able to, considering I won't be a jerk about it." Her tone was definitely hinting as she tilted her chin up slightly, a cocky grin on her features.

I scuff my foot into the ground as Courter tells me on how to be a big kid, "Yeah, I guess."I debate whether I want to continue walking outside or whether to turn back to camp but decide to push my way further into the forest. Braxin and Sassy follow closely behind our feet, Braxin occassionally getting a bit to close and hitting the sole of my shoe. "I am just tired of Eden bossing me around so much! Its not fair! First she takes me away from my mommy and daddy and now she bosses me around all the time," the taste of negativity leaving my mouth, I can't stand the fact that she bosses me around so much.

Even though she runs out into the forest I am far to drained and tired to go after her. I feel like a disappointment to the camp, I do the best with my cooking, I didn't cook much back when I was younger, I ate a lot of take out and that's how I got out of cooking all the time, as well everything given to me by the scavengers aren't fresh they're canned goods, and lots of oats; not much you can make with beans. I go back to my tent area where some blankets are laid for resting upon and I close my eyes for a split second.

Aria looked curious, standing where she was as she watched her mother go to the cow and bring it back. "What that for?" She asked curiously. It was odd to keep a cow for a pet and wondered why her mother wanted to keep it.

evelynn listened intently as bea spoke about her concerns with the three going on the trip. giving them a gun did not feel right to either of them, but eve knew they would need it for hunting purposes. "i agree, i don't want any blood on our hand either. but these are hard times. i trust zackaree to be wise about her choices, i believe she can keep ari grounded. the gun is not even our biggest problem right now," she sighed, returning eye contact to bea, "the real question is... what do we do about newcomers? if they need somewhere to stay, we cannot be rude and say no. at the same time, i fear we will bring bad blood into the camp." eve was scaring herself now, she hated the idea of someone destroying their camp from the inside out. her hands trembled slightly at the idea. she grabbed her hands together in front of her, hoping bea would not notice her nerves.

"Well Aria, a cow could be useful," I say, I want to censer the real reason to have a cow which would to be kill it, but decide to go with, "If we ever find a group we could show them the cow and they'd be more inclined in to taking us in. Now lets get on our way, there is no time to waste."

Yanira sat by herself off a little ways from the gathering area, settling against the rough trunk of a tree. She felt tense with the group; she was a new member, and no one had even tried to befriend her so far. Besides, she could tell Ace was still being an energetic guy and felt tempted to nip at some cats. She smiled to herself at the thought, ruffling the canine's fur affectionately. He licked at her fingers, and she scrunched her nose at the wet contact. "Gross!" The scavenger laughed, wiping the saliva onto his golden fur. The two settled down again, and she frowned at her porridge. Though she wasn't exactly pampered, even she was able to eat toast every morning. She couldn't really blame them, though. They had limited rations, and this was the best the nurturers could do. Doesn't mean I have to enjoy it, she thought as she scooped up some goop and nibbled at it. She had to keep up her strength, but it was sometimes hard. Ace pricked his ears towards the group, catching Yani's attention, and she watched the other teenagers converse. She was too far to hear clear words, but it looked important, considering both the leaders were there. Excitement momentarily flared in her, but it died down a moment later. Even if they were doing something big, they wouldn't her participate, and rightly so. Why should they trust her, after all?

Eliza stirred the gray porridge in her bowl, staring glumly down at the goop. She thought longingly of the grand breakfasts she used to eat. Toast, eggs, fruits, pancakes, you name it and it was there. She could still smell the heavenly aroma if she thought hard enough. A reprimanding voice broke through her saddening thoughts. "Elle, don't just play with your food. It's not great, but you have to eat it, sweets." The young girl glanced to her brother, who was watching her with a scolding but understanding expression. She smiled dully at him and obediently raised a spoonful to her mouth, doing her best to ignore the bland taste. While eating the nasty stuff, she watched the others interact. When she saw some arguing, she briefly wondered why her big brother wasn't with them. To her, he was great and smart. Abruptly, she turned away from her bowl and tightly hugged her brother, an action that caught him off guard. Nonetheless, he returned it and stroked her hair fondly. He no longer questioned these random signs of affection. The sharp action interrupted Dandy's nap, and the kitten clearly made it known by emitting loud complaints. Her mind temporarily taken away from the bleak situation, she giggled and patted the soft kitten. The animal began to purr, her strokes lulling it back to sleep.

Castiel had already finished his disgusting breakfast long ago. He had shoveled the gunk down his throat, gagging many times in the process, in an attempt to avoid the bland taste. The nonexistent flavor seemed to stick to everything it touched; no matter how hard he tried, there was still a lingering taste in his mouth. Much different than what he was used to. He changed his train of thought as soon as it turned south, determined to not linger in the past. Movement- or rather, the lack of it- caught his attention. Elle was staring at her food with an expression he had come to link to the past. Unwilling to let her feel strong grief at such a tender age, he showed one of his rare genuine smiles and spoke. "Elle, don't just play with your food. It's not great, but you have to eat it, sweets." He tried to give her a stern look. He wasn't sure how to act like a guardian, as he rarely interacted with anyone younger than him, but he was trying his best. He wanted Elle to have as normal a childhood as any child. Nodding approvingly as she began to eat, the scavenger shifted and let out a bored sigh. It was too early to scavenge, and no one had even tried to have a conversation with them. He couldn't blame them, but he did miss social contact besides his sister. Speaking of the devil, she abruptly clung to him, wrapping her short arms around his waist in a spine-crushing hug. His eyes widened momentarily, but he quickly returned the gesture and patted her head. She was starting to do this frequently, and he began to accept that it was a way for coping. When she returned her attention to a complaining kitten, he watched her fondly. It was nice, he realized, having a friend.

Ari actually laughed, he full out belted out a strange guttural laugh at Zack's implication of him being a prick. "Oh yeah wouldn't wanna be a jerk about it eh?" He nudged her arm, finally someone with enough nerve to cross him and not be obnoxious about it. "Well alright Scar, I'll find the supplies and get stuff ready, see you in the morning at sunrise." He waved once and walked off, heading back to his sleeping quarters.

Zack couldn't resist a grin and a roll of her eyes at Ari's antics. "That sounds good. We'll do it tomorrow, then." She nodded once, mostly to herself, and turned around as she heard paws making their way to her. She greeted Cody affectionately, then turned back to Scar. "I should go see about that extra ammo. Wanna come along?"

Court chuckled, shaking his head slightly. Although he adored Eliah, many of her words were amusing. He did understand her, though.
"Well, Eden's just looking out for you," he amended gently, reaching out to put an arm around her shoulders. "That's what all the grown ups are trying to do. Your mommy and daddy would've wanted her to, I'm sure of it."
