Melody stopped singing when she saw the little girl come out of the trapdoor, and smiled brightly. "Why, hello there!" she said cheerfully. "I'm Melody Sharpe, pirate, and actor for hire. Who are you?"

"I am Rose, a stowaway pirate in training. Nice to meet you. You have a lovely voice." she said giggling.

"Why, thank you!" said Melody with a bow, returning the giggle with one of her own. "Hey, Rose, could you get me out of this cell? I want to meet the flutist and fiddler who were so kind as to play for me."

"Yeh hang on. Rue took out one of her smaller knives and unlocked the cell. "We have to go through the trap door."

"Okay!" said Melody happily. "I love trapdoors- they're so much fun when you're on stage, because characters can be ghosts, popping in and out of scenes. Audiences love 'em."

"Let's go!" Rose said climbing back through the trap door.

Ella did all the steps Milo told her to do. She heard the voice and smiled. "She's rather good." She whispered.

Ingo smiled at James, "Aye, thanks. You're too kind to me, but you've done a good job of making me feel better" She said. Ingo wasn't sure that anyone would ever love her now but she was happy that James had cheered her up all the same.

"Hungry?" James asked, standing up and pulling her up too.

"Quite, I actually haven't eaten since my birthday." It suddenly dawned on Ingo that she was starving, she had not eaten for a good few days and was soon going to go really hungry. She was especcialy hungry after havuing jumped off the pirate ship and swum to the shore.
