"Ahh a fiddle mind if i join ya on my pan flute?" Rupert asked pulling out the small instrument.

Alex sat down on the bench and lovingly took out his fiddle. It was a fine instrument, made of dark wood. It was worn, but in a loved sort of way. The guard looked at Rupert and grinned. "Not a'tall." Alex held the fiddle up to his chin and drew the bow a few times across the strings, practicing, then asked Milo, "Slow dance, fast dance, jig, what?" Milo thought for a second, then said, "How about a slow dance? Do you 'lilies in the valley'?" Alex grinned, and set bow to fiddle. The tune was soft and sweet, flowing like a river. It had words, but Alex didn't know them.

Milo took Ella's right hand in his right, and put his left hand on her waist. "Put your left hand on my shoulder," he said. "Like this."

Ella put her hand on his shoulder. She listened to the soft, sweet song.

Rupert started to play the a harmony along with Alex. The two instruments sounded beautiful together.

Rose began humming the melody of the song. Her mother would sing it to her before she was put to sleep for the night.

Milo smiled, and said, "This one's slow, sort of like a lullaby. It goes in three, see, like ONE two three ONE two three. On one you take a big step to the right, on two you take a little step back, and on three you take a sweeping step to the left."

She can play the smart girl, the street girl, the cook, the deckhand, the captain, the harbormaster- and that's only getting started! She loves to sing, too, and has the sweetest voice you might well ever hear.
Description: Melody is petite, with long red-gold hair that frames her round face perfectly. Her eyes are a dancing green, and her hair is always tucked under a green bandanna. Because of her size, most people think of her as an easy target. Because of this, Melody has spent most of her life perfecting martial arts. She knows twenty-three ways to kill a man with her bare hands, although she prefers not to. She wears a white, full-sleeve shirt and a black, flowing skirt. This is only temporary, though; once she gets a part to play, the set and costumes change! She has long legs and a small waist, but this is more from acrobatics than a need to impress men. She's extremely flexible and fast, but she lacks brute strength because of her size, and mostly depends on her opponents weight to defeat them.

Melody Sharpe awoke in the darkness, with the dull hissing of the sea all around her cell. From somewhere above she heard shouting, then silence. She fell back asleep. Some time later, she was awakened again, this time by music. "I know that song!" she whispered to herself. "Lilies in the valley!" Quietly, she began to sing the slow tune.
"Lilies in the valley,
so fine and sweet.
How many praises,

Rose stopped humming. "Hey do you hear that?"

Milo paused for a moment and listened, and Alex stopped playing the fiddle. Somewhere below, a girl was singing the words to the song. They died away a few moments after the fiddle stopped playing, so Alex picked up the tune again, and the voice continued signing. "Who do you suppose it is?" he asked the little girl.

"I will be right back!" Rose said and went to a crate. She pushed it out of the way and jumped into the hole the crate had been covering. Rose found the singing girl "Hello"
