"Daddy, what happened?" Zoey asked, trying to look from the back seat.

Hotshot looked up when he saw the three boys coming towards his rider. Getting in front of her, he pinned his ears and stomped his hoof. He didn't want any strange human near his rider.

Zach

"You guys stay here," he jogged over to where the fallen rider was at. No riders should be here, I never reopened the stables. He thought to himself.

Adam

I stopped running as the horse pinned his ears at us, "stand back guys, give this horse it's space." I looked over to where Starla was on the ground, "Starla, are you alright?"

Hotshot neighed angrily, pacing in front of his human to keep the others away, he then pinned his ears at the older man. Tail swishing, as he kept his eyes on them.

She groaned, rolling to her side with her hands clutching her head. She slowly opened her eyes halfway to see Hotshot protecting her from the guys. "Hotshot," she said weakly. "Its ok...big guy." Her eyes then closed again with her head resting on the ground again.

Indira looked over to Zach, she was confused, she didn't know that he was coming back and doubted that the boys did either.

Jeneane reached a hand back to her daughter "Everything's alright, Dad's gonna take car of it."

Zoey nodded and placed her hand in her mother's as she waited for her father to come back.

Adam

"Indira, try and get over to Starla. Aiden, call for an ambulance, who knows if she has any internal injuries. Brad and Ethan, you two are with me. We need to try to get the horse away from Starla. If we have to, we'll throw some lasso's over him." I was so concentrated with Starla that I didn't realize that my father had returned.

Indira was about to say something about Zach when Adam gave his orders and she decided that Starla was more important. She slipped through the fence and went about the other side of Starla, behind he horse so that the animal didn't notice her. "Where are you hurt?" she asked.

"We'll be show jumping later on, when the higher jumps are set." She nodded. "And thank you! I would have taken Knight up to high ranking shows, but I don't know if he'd handle the bigger crowds. Being a rescue from an abusive showing stable, those high ranking shows may remind him of that." Rose replied. Knight turned his head, biting a fly on his flank. He'd come a long way in the years Rose has had him, but Rose was still unsure if he'd come far enough for something like that. Her attention shot over to Adam running around.

A throbbing pain rang through her body, mostly her head as she opened her eyes again to squint against the bright sun. She raised her hand weakly to tap Hotshot on the cannon to let him know she was ok. "Hotshot, I'm ok." She said to the protective stallion. Rolling to her stomach, she slowly pushed herself to sit up. She had to push past the nauseous feeling in her stomach. Leaning back a bit on her knees, she looked around. She then looked to Indira as she reached her. "I'm fine, just winded."

"Guys, don't try to lasso Hotshot." Gabe said, quickly running to the group. "He is protective over her, if she's hurt or anything he will not let other riders he doesn't trust near her." He held Striker away.

Hotshot squished his tail before feeling the pat on his cannon. He snorted before walking off to stand next to Gabriel so his human could get help.
