Grace: I froze at Alice's touch my right hand in mid swing. I looked down at the younger girl and slowly lowered my hand. Something in her touch calmed me a little and my shoulders slumped "I'm sorry that you have to see this side of me." I whispered bitterly. I slowly turned and walked toward my bed but I stopped mid stride and looked at Alice again, at six foot three I knew I towered over her but I suddenly felt so small so worthless as I looked at her. "don't hate me for my outbursts I don't mean to be like this but I don't trust to easily."

"Trust me, I have seen a lot in my orphanage and childhood years. I have been through a lot worse. I wont hate you as well, I cant trust other people as well as I used to. So I feel you..." Alice said calmly. "I was in a therapy group when i first diagnoses with my bone problem. There where other kids my age, older, younger, sometimes even young adults where there to talk about there mental and physical illnesses. This is why i guess i like to call it calm and collective or a therapist myself."

Grace: I smiled weakly "I guess you could chalk my main problem up to my amazon pride. At least at one time but now I guess I am really what the other foster parents I had before now always told me I was. Worthless, a hassle, a problem that could have been solved if I had died the day my aunt did." I said softly then traced a scar on my stomach before going on "maybe that's why I just stood there and took the beatings for the other kids, because I deserved them for what I didnt do."

"No you don't Grace! Don't think like that, you are not a hassle nor worthless!" Alice said sternly. She took one of Grace's hands and placed it where the older girl's heart was. "Do you feel that? It's beating right? That means you have a purpose to live right now." The teen said with a small smile. "You don't deserve what you had been through, nether had all of us here. This is why we are here, for a fresh start in our lives. And if this place doesn't work out for you, it doesn't work out for me or anyone else here. Got it?" Alice explained all from the heart.

Grace: I smiled again "Its gotta work for someone. I guess I have more on my mind than I realized. I dont even know what's gonna happen with my mom's remains or even if I will be going back to Athens for her funeral or anything else. I know that her boss said that there were things I didnt know that are going to be a big surprise for me." I said as I shook my dark head, a sudden question rose to mind "what if my mom didnt die accidentally, what if the people who killed my dad when I was little killed her too because she was protecting me?" I voiced the question as I walked over and sank down on my bed again this time taking a photo from the headboard of my parents and I along with Cascade my dad's K9 partner.

"That's a thing i don't know.. Though if have a long time to find out.. What is my sister was dead? What if she is near by? To be honest it could be one of these people in this foster." Alice told Grace as she sat down. "Yea I know, surprise surprise I have an older sister. She is just somewhere.." the teen said with sarcasm in her voice at the beginning.

Grace: I looked up at Alice and smiled a little "Do you remember her at all?" I asked softly my voice gentle again. "I wish that I could have a younger sibling but I dont know. I would be so protective of them but I would be afraid that they would split us up." I added as I looked at her with a softness in my grey eyes.

"I told this to Emmy before. She was tooken away when i was young, my parents saying she was going on a trip. Though i then found out she was actually tooken away for medical things.." Alice explained a bit quicker and shorter.

Grace: I nodded and cocked my head a little as I looked at the picture of my mom and dad then looked up at Alice "By the gods Alice you look like him....." I said softly as I studied her facial features then looked back at dad's face in the photo. "You have his eyes and his nose....." I added in a low voice

"Coincidence?" Alice said with a shrug and looked at the picture of the male. "I dont think i have seen him before, maybe once in an old photo but thats it and that could have not been him." The teen said somemore, searching her head for anything.
