Cadence didn't look at her. "its fine. its better you cry around me. the guys around here might send you running 10 miles while shooting arrows at you if you cry around them." he whispered holding her to his chest.

Without thinking, she buried her face into his shoulder," I haven't cried in 3 years.." she whispered.

He looked down at her, "im sorry. I was born into and adoption center." he says not really thinking about it. he rubs her back with the hand supporting it. he breathed in deeply and let the air back out getting out of the hover craft. he walked to the dome shaped building surrounded by tree's, the dome it's self changed with its surroundings so no one knew it was here. he walked with her in his arms to the guard who inspected her. "these are the 3." he said the guard looked only at CJ, "she won't last long blade and you know it." he said finally looking at cadence. the boy was in armor and had black hair and strange grey eyes. he looked like he was 18. "shut up Ghost." he basically growled. Cadence shuffled his feet. the guy named Ghost took CJ into a room with white walls. he gave her a shot in her arm. "DONT!" Cadence yelled fury inside of him.

She glared at him," What the hell?" she yelled, basically snarling.

Ghost shrugged his shoulders. "you have 20 seconds." Cadence shoved him out of the way. "okay if your gonna do this let me do it." Ghost gave him a wry smile, "you like her." Cadence kept a strait face, "no I don't. my job is to do training. your job is to guard, so go guard." Ghost sighed, "whatever man." and slunk back to his post. cadence looked at CJ, "okay your going to be in there until it stops okay? your job is to dodge as many as you can, okay?"

"Why do I keep getting shot by things?!" she yelled, her eyes scared. "Dodge what?" she her eyes moved from scared to confused. She felt the world beginning to blacken out.

Cadence eye's darted around, "be calm CJ." he said letting her world go to black. he got behind the high tech computer. the thing is, CJ will go into an empty and scary world. guns will get fired at her and she has to try her best to dodge them with speed. if one hits her the pain is real in her head. she doesn't know that. before she closed her eyes completely cadence said quietly, "don't cry." if she were to cry then another round of bullets would be shot at her. the "test" detected her stamina, agility, accuracy, and what she were to do if in a battle. he waited for the black screen to flicker to CJ's mind. (so in a way this is a lot like divergent. XD)

Her world went black.

Cadence watched as 20 faceless solders aimed at CJ. he closed his eyes and hoped she knew what to do.

She was shocked at first, and then her adrenaline kicked in. Her blue eyes were like ice, cold enough to freeze a soul. She stared at all the gun, prepared herself for who'd shoot first.
