"sorry." I giggled once more, and glanced around the apartment. "This is so nice, and you live alone? Isn't that a little, y'know, scary?" I reached out to touch the wall, feeling the texture. I thought about my words and mentally scolded myself for not thinking, he has cancer, like the fear of being alone is even a thought. I redirected my attention to the little kitten, kneeling down to face it, I restrained myself from picking it up or anything as it leaned into Thorns' touch. "What are their names?" I changed the subject from my stupid question and watched the small felines move.

Aiden shrugged. "Not that scary. I have lived alone for Uhh.. 4 years without my parents and like a year or so without the cats." He started to pet Cheeto and shook a thought out of his head. He didn't feel like crying in front of his new friend so he started to think of something else. "Well um. Both my cats are named after something important to me. The kitten's name is Pumkin, a name my parents both called me. Then this one here." He paused and pet Cheeto again. "This is Cheeto. Cheeto was named after my best friends favorite snack." He then paused and pet Cheeto again. "Cheeto is 3 years old and Pumkin is 2 weeks." He looked at Pumkin as she started to mew at Jae. Aiden couldn't help but to smile at that.

Kian sighed and got up to his annoying alarm.If he didn't set it he would sleep his summer away.He got out of bed and got ready.He picked up his phone shoved it in his pocket before walking out of the house and locking the door.He ate breakfast in the garden before throwing away the plastic plate and utensils and walking down the road.

"That's so cute." I said without thinking, referring to the names, then turned my attention to the kitten so it could look like I was referring to the kitten's actions instead. I reached my hand out to the kitten, putting it in front of it's little face so he could sniff it, I wasn't sure if that was just a thing for dogs but it wouldn't hurt anything if it was. "Four years? So you moved out at fifteen... Why?" As soon as I said it I knew I shouldn't have, people don't move out at fifteen just because they feel like it, and I didn't feel like it was any of my business to know. I didn't know what to say next so I just let the question hang in the air, looking up at him, I apologetically watched him for an answer.

Memory kept walking, looking at the things she passed on her walk even though the sidewalks hardly had anyone on them. As she looked up she saw a boy who looked to be about her age walking down the sidewalk in her direction. Once she got close enough to him, she figured she could talk to him. "Morning." She smiled.
