Keagen walked over to the goth table and he sat a little ways from Ariana. Whiskers sat on the table and curled her tail around her. Keagen pet her a little and she purred. He smiled and pulled out her food and gave it to her and started to eat his own. He glanced over at the girl sitting at the table and noticed that she was goth as well. He couldn't help but smile. She might know what it was like to be left out in some things. Either way, his antisocial side kicked in so he didn't say anything to her. Whiskers on the other hand, walked right over to her and started to sniff her. "Meow?" She said to her and tilted her head to the side and looked at her with big eyes.

She glanced at the boy who sat at the table. Mouse, her dog, saw them and growled a bit at him and the cat. When the cat walked over Ariana stuck out her hand to keep the cat away from her food. She moved her hand away and fed Mouse his food. She looked at the cat again and took a sip of her water.

I sit down at my usual table, waiting for the rest of my group to show up. It's just the 'emo/goth/punk/freak' table, so a random assortment of kids sit at it. I know only a few's names, and would rather keep it that way. I pull a slightly squished sandwich out of my bag, and start nomming on it.

I quietly claim a small, corner table near the edge of the cafeteria, and sit down at it. Nobody seems to be sitting at it, which is good, because I'm usually chased away. A large group of weird people have started sitting at my normal table, so I'm claiming this as my new one. Not many people like to sit with book nerds.

As usual, I'm the first one to sit, so I get my usual seat, where I can observe the entire cafeteria. I notice Tenshi has changed tables again, and am tempted to sit with her. Everybody would think I'm hitting on her, because they don't know we have the same adoptive parents. I sigh, mentally apologize, and glance at my various friends.
