He breezed into the four story building with all the ease of a large cat, silent and graceful as he headed to the elevators. He was dressed in a sleek dark gray suit, black dress shoes faintly clicking against the hard floor, the picture of a ruthless business man if he so chose to be. The boss had called him in for a meeting, giving him no choice but to arrive before 9 AM.. even if it happened to be his bloody day off. He sighed, absently tapping a foot as he waited on one of the three elevators.

Aiden was just thinking for this new project she had to be part of.Last time she was paired up to work with someone,Aiden left on the second day,simply because the stranger was way too slow,way too lazy and way too useless for her taste.Hopefully her new 'partner' would be better and more professional ,at least. While the young woman was distracted with her thoughts,she realized that she was finally in front the elevators. Great! Aiden was actually surprised she didn't get lost on the way her,this would be truly a nightmare in a terrible city like this one. As she stopped to wait on one of the elevators,she spotted a very similar face with the corner of her eye,right next to her.Now,it would be very unlady like to stare,so she patiently waited for at least one of the elevators to arrive.

He had noticed her right before she had him, keeping his gaze straight and refusing to chance a glance at the woman. A vague bell seemed to ring in the back of his mind, as if expecting him to recognize her, yet he didn't. Which minorly confused him until an elevator finally opened, striding into it to hit the fourth floor button.

Aiden followed the male in the elevator and watched him press the fourth floor. She was actually going on the same floor,so there was really nothing she could do except sit back and watch awkwardly at some randomly chosen spot. Actually the fact she couldn't remember him was starting to annoy her. Aiden ran fingers trough her blonde mane and glanced at the...oh,wait. It was Akiva. Maybe a little more grown up than she remembered but it was still him. Her biggest teenager love and heartbreak she tried to forget every single day. Hopefully he wouldn't be her partner. After the elevator stopped on their floor,Aiden rushed out and made her way to the room she was told to wait in.

He had leaned a broad shoulder against the slightly vibrating wall, watching the number as it went from 1 to 4. He still couldn't place her name, glancing her way for a brief second in time to catch a dawning expression on her face as though she'd just realized something. Then he watched her as she practically fled the elevator, narrowing his eyes as he sedatedly followed, bemused at the action. Hm, down the same hall to the same room on the same floor.. what in the bloody world did the boss come up with now?

→ "Honey, wake up," Darcy whispered, gently shaking her son's shoulder. "It's Monday, and you have school to get to." The five year old in bed groaned and held the pillow over his head, causing his mother to laugh. She gently pried the pillow out of his hands, warning him in a teasing tone, "If you don't get up on the count of three- well, you know what will happen. One... Two..." She hesitated before saying the final number watching Dustin giggle as he awaited his "punishment." "Three!" As she uttered the last word, Darcy scooped him up out of bed and spun around in a few circles, causing her son to squeal in amusement. She carried him all the way to the bathroom, adding a couple spins before setting him down, so he was then dizzy and laughing quite hard. The blonde smiled and instructed him to brush his teeth and get ready for the day, while she went to her room and got dressed in a simple outfit. Lucky for her, the only job she managed to hold for a few years- a waitress at a small diner in town- wasn't a stickler about uniforms. She could wear what she wanted, so long as it wasn't distracting or didn't allow her to move around.
Soon enough, Dustin was out the door & off to school leaving Darcy roughly thirty minutes before she had to leave the house. She'd managed to get her hours evened out, working basically the same shift every day. Eight thirty am to eight thirty pm, more often than not taking overtime. She needed the money to support her and Dustin, as well as the other little one she would have in a few months. She happened to have nice neighbors in her small apartment complex who would watch her son after he got home from school, so she didn't have to worry about being there as soon as possible. The blonde made her way into the bathroom, applying some mascara and light pink lipstick. She sprayed dry shampoo in her hair in attempt to give it more volume, and remained primping for a few more minutes. This was the biggest act of vanity she had been doing since high school, never having the time to make herself appear as any more than she was. Darcy turned to the side to check out her profile appearance in the outfit- more specifically, how big her baby bump had gotten, and how big it appeared in the shirt. At nineteen weeks, the bump was certainly harder to conceal than past months, but the yellow shirt she'd chosen for the day helped her out slightly. It was still rather apparent that she was going to have a kid, but at first glance, someone might not notice.
After a couple more minutes of trying to appear presentable and eating a quick breakfast, Darcy got in her car and drove to the small diner where she worked, arriving five minutes before she was set to come in. As per usual, she received warm greetings from her coworkers and regular customers. She walked over to the arrangement of staff for the day, noticing that she was the only waitress working for the next few hours. This wasn't too terrible, as the diner was small, and they didn't tend to get large rushes in the morning. Plus, working all the tables would keep her busy, and busy days go by faster.

Aiden tried to distract herself from the fact she'd be working with Akiva somehow. Thinking for something else wasn't really effective ,doing something else was impossible so was texting a friend. But after all they were both here to do some work ,right? Plus he didn't look like he realized who is she. Not yet,but chances were he would ,very soon. Aiden entered the room and greeted the boss with a nod,before finding herself a seat around the large table in the middle.
