Another boring day at work... at least I get paid. "Have a nice day." "You too!" Mason smiled cheerily to the leaving customer. Working at a fast food restaurant wasn't the most heroic job ever, but at least you made enough money to live on. "Your shift is off." The new guy prodded Mason with a spatula. If Mason wasn't so tired, he'd nicely correct the younger male that it wasn't very cleanly to prod people with a cooking spatula, but he was very tired. Once Mason got to his tiny apartment, he flopped down on his couch, still in his work uniform. Sighing, he looked over to his bass. I haven't played in a while... Getting up, Mason grabbed the instrument. He looked down at the strings, they seemed to be taunting him, almost daring for Mason to play.

Why is school so boring..? Autumn walked down the halls to the band room. Surprisingly there was no one there. Autumn smiled to herself before grabbing her guitar case. Finally.. Alone with the one thing that makes me truly happy... She thought to herself. Just as she was about to open her case, the bell rang to say school was over. Delightful... Now I have to leave... Another long wait until I get to play my guitar... Autumn made sure the case was closed properly and she stood. She walked out the band room door quickly, her case's strap safely over her shoulder. As soon as she was outside of the school building she ran to her car. 20 Minutes.. How will I last..? Finally she got to the apartment she lived in. It was small, but it would work until she got enough money to pay for a bigger one. Autumn eagerly opened her guitar case and smiled. She went to her room and grabbed her amp, and cord. She quickly plugged in the amp when she got back to her guitar. Grabbing the cord to plug her guitar into the amp, she suddenly stopped. I feel like I shouldn't... As if something is telling me to listen instead of play... Sighing, Autumn continued to do what she was. I can wait for 5 minutes to listen, but that is all...

Fine... His fingers brushed the bass gently, to make sure it was in tune. The low noises were music to his ears. Sighing happily, Mason seemed relieved of any stress he had before. He picked up his pick and started playing from memory. The song was short, for it was only Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but Mason felt like he was in eternity. Soon, more longer, complex, songs started echoing off of the walls. Mason hummed gently to the tunes, feeling extraordinarily happy.
