xxx'the eldest prince of alaria lay sprawled over his wooden bed, soft snores escaping his slightly plump parted lips. his thing sheet was in a tangled around his legs, and his face lay on his soft cotton pillow. a constant low buzz in the distance broke through his peaceful sleep. he let out a low groan of frustration, shutting his eyes tightly in attempt to fall back into his slumber. but it was no use. his head was already loud and awake. a nagging voice whispered a racket in the back of his mind. finally after a few moments, the bethroned prince fluttered open his eyes. slowly, he pushed himself up into a sitting position on his bed, and looking around his room. a loud knock on his door made him jump out of his skin. the door creeped open, and he let out a small scream. "wait, i don't have a shirt on!" he slurred, covering his bare stomach and chest. a fellow maid pushed open the door wider, rolling her eyes lightly. "the queen wants to know why are you're late for dinner?" his eyes widened, and hopped out of bed only to trip over on the cold tile floor because of his wrapped sheets. the maid giggled and closed the door.
xxx'jackson let out an embarassed huff, but quickly got on his feet. he rumaged through his wardrobe in a corner, and picked out a formal, yet casual suit. once it was on, he looked at himself in the mirror, try to fix his sleep-messy hair. suddenly, his stomach dropped. this was the event were he was going to meet his soon-to-be wife. what if she was ugly or had an unpleasant personality. his face grew pale for a few seconds, but immediately told himself that he was already late. a skip sparked in his steps, but his heart hung low. he had no reason to accept and carry on with this marriage; it wasn't his idea, but he had grown to just go with it. as long as their kingdoms were in peace, he could be just ignore her.
xxx'the prince made his way to the hall, and he looked over to the table where both families sat. his eyes locked onto the girl he was bethroned to. his eyes widened. she wasn't bad looking. a smirk stretched his lips for a second, but he knew that he had to clean up his act for a good impression- to her parents at least. jackson turned to the king and queen of wennington, and bowed down respectfully. "greetings, i'm jackson pennington" he spoke, then turning to his fiancé. softly, he took her hand, sent her a quick devilish smirk, and softly put his soft lips onto the top of her hand- purposely letting them linger before pulling away.

she could tell, as her father opened his mouth, he was going to make a rude comment about the alarian princes both being late, but was, thankfully, quieted by her mother, who cut him off before he had a chance to speak. just then, a servant brought in a stool for yoska, and placed it right next to, but slightly behind, herself. she offered her dearest friend a gentle smile. she knew how out of place he must feel here, but she could not help but need him there with her; his presence alone offered her comfort, and gave her the confidence to not chicken out and/or freak out. any moment now, her fiancé would walk through those double doors. she was terrified that he would be mean and cruel; she could handle him being unpleasant looking to the eye, as long as his personality was nice. upon hearing the doors open, she looked up, and there he was; he had to be him. he looked around her age, roughly, but he was beyond attractive; she noticed a small smirk on his face but it quickly disappeared, so maybe she was just seeing things. when he kissed her hand, she couldn't help the light pink blush that appeared on her cheeks. the only seat left was directly across from her. "the pleasure is mine, your highness." she offered a small, sweet and nervous smile.

Victoria simply listened to other women's conversation, smiling sadly to herself. She had hope that somehow she'd be able to keep the two close, but yet... A knight, knighted to another kingdom? An old maid? Who was she kidding? She looked back up and took Cheyenne's arm, smiling. "I think marriage is absolutely fine, so long as to one you choose. " she said to Cheyenne. She followed her friend out into the hall, hoping that they wouldn't get caught. Getting caught by anyone would most definitely be awful. Just imagine her parent's reaction if they knew what she was to do! Sneaking out with ones as lowly as a knight and maid to have picnic. She could only imagine.

William sat down at the table, adjusting himself so he was comfortable. He saw his sister sit down beside him and ask for a chair for Yoska. He knew what the servant meant for her and it was not at all strange to him to have Yoska joining them for a meal. The prince looked over to his other side, seeing his friend sit beside him gave him some comfort. He knew he was going to be easy to anger at this meal and he knew Jason would at the very least be there for mental support. This was a odd time for William, he hadn't spoken since they left the Wennington palace. More commonly, he'd be talking up a storm. The sound of doors opening brought the prince back to reality. It was a prince, the eldest boy of the Pennington family. His soon to be brother.
He walked up to Jessica and then greeted his fiance. At that moment, a bit of anger flushed through the eldest's body. He was angry he would not get to meet his bride before the wedding. Angry he had to marry out of something so trivial. Something that could be settled over a treaty. The fact that his sister would meet her betrothed before he. The eldest of the four. Where anger was the young mans prime emotion, it was not all that he felt. He felt sadness, worry, jealousy, and anxiety. But those were things he felt he could not express, not in current company.
Even with the anger, William managed to keep his expressions composed. No, he did not look happy. But at least he didn't look as furious as he felt. His hands stayed under the table, as they were constantly fiddling around. Closing a fist and then trying to relax as best as he could, and keep from storming out of the room.

the young woman was silent but couldn't help but smile underneath her helmet as they walked through the coridors. all of the workers in the castle knew of their ventures, and likely thought there was romance between the pair; judging by the way some maids looked so longingly. as they exited through the back door and entered the cover of the forest, chey couldn't help the laugh that burst forth through her. "did you see them? it was like this was to be our last goodbye; like we were a romantic couple being torn apart!"

As they journeyed through the castle, all of the states and sympathic looks made her want to giggle. Lucky Cheyenne could hide a smile with her helmet, but she had to keep a straight face. They all thought Cheyenne was Chester, a male knight. They all knew that the two were close, presumed lovers. It was ridiculous; if Cheyenne was actually a male her father would've beheaded the knight long ago.
As soon as they free of prying eyes in the forest, she burst into a laughing fit. "They looked at us as if we were headed to gallows! They truly think we're lovers, don't they?" she said, doubled over in laughter. It was hilarious!
