Once Shayla had spoken, Lizz merely nodded, unsure of what she could say next. The girl was pretty, her hair unlike anyone else's that the brunette had ever seen, but that was probably because she lived in the sheltered conditions of her parents home up until recently. As the girl walked away, Liz let out a small sigh, gently banging her head against one of the nearby pillars.
Figuring that now was probably the busiest time in the lobby, and that the majority of people would be using the elevator to get to their rooms, the brunette made her way over. As she waited, a boy who seemed to be a similar age to her began to talk. A small, genuine smile formed on her lips as she questioned, "Did you win?? Trying your luck from time to time isn't insane - it's just human nature." Stepping into the elevator after him, the girl noticed they were on the same floor and her smile widened. As the doors closed, she clenched the card a little tighter between clenched fingers. "I sent in a short story in to the newspaper. I figured I may as well try my luck, I mean, I won a competition I hadn't even entered. Luck must be smiling down on me at the minute, as I won £500 for sending it in."
