human of sorts wrote:

once i entered starbucks, i laid my penny board up against a chair and a table to save my spot, even though it was basically empty. i went to the register, a bit nervous by the fact i had to socialize with another human being just to get coffee. "um, iced caramel macciato, please?" i asked, swing back and forth on my heels. after i paid and had received my coffee, i turned around and bumped into a tall male wearing a grey hoodie, along with some black ray bands covering his eyes. as an effect of the impact, a little of my coffee spilt on him. it took me a moment to realize what just happened. well this just got awkward, i thought to myself. "i- um, sorry. i'm sorry, i didn't mean to," i stuttered, looking around for napkins. it was sort of an excuse to avoid his eyes, but getting napkins would be the humanly kind thing to do, right?

i was distracted by my thoughts of dating random serial killers when i ran into something tall. not something - someone. "ow," i rubbed my head, forgetting about the other person for a second. the pain faded away quickly, then i noticed the male standing in front of me. he looked close to my age, and was maybe about an inch shorter than i was. which was weird, running into a tall person. usually when i ran into someone, i felt like i was about to trample them, or they would just collide into my chest. which was a bit weird. "oh, uh, i'm sorry," i apologized, running my fingers through my rather messy hair nervously.
