This guy was really starting to get on Miles' nerves. If there was one thing he couldn't stand it was people who were constantly condescending and rude like this. He could tell Tate wasn't thrilled either despite his chipper reply.
Miles wasn't entirely sure how to get this guy to drop the sarcasm and maybe stop being an ass for two seconds. Fighting him would just rile him up. Matching his sarcasm would just be challenging him. Rolling over and ignoring him was out of the question. Well, if there was one thing Miles had learned from his dad, it was that when people were mad, it was usually best to be nice to them. Miles hated the thought of doing that, but he was getting sick of this guy already.
Please don't let this guy be in my cabin.
He put on his best disarming smile.
"You don't need to get so defensive. I've barely said anything," he said, "What cabin are you in? Tate and I are in different cabins so odds are you're bunking with one of us."
Please not me. Please not me. God if you're out there please choose not to hate me for once in my life.
