Cody fell under and opened his eyes, the salty water stinging them. He could just see a blurry figure of macey

The foal became tired and laid down for some rest beside his mother. Pale Sun stood guard as the two horses rested.

[*Hollystar*]

Apache whinnied a thanks to Pale Sun and laid down by her foal. She nuzzled him once, then let him rest.

[* Macey *]

Macey pushed herself up to the surface of the water, taking a deep breath. She smiled at Cody. "You get used to the salt water the more you do it."

I bit my lip, searching for a way to help the mare.Think bella think think think!I frowned, my eyes flicking across the ground for something, anything, to help the mare. "Oh!" I gasped as i realized that i could just roll the trunk off the mare's hoof. "I feel stupid." I face-palmed, and got to work. Using my back, i began to push the trunk off the mare's hoof, grunting at the effort it took. I broke out in sweat as i huffed and puffed, struggling to roll the trunk away. After what seemed like hours, but must have only been ten minutes, i finally got the trunk off the mare."There you go." I whispered to the mare, and the mare sent a grateful nicker. I examined the hoof, and was relieved when it seemed fine. Standing up, i began to walk away, back to Madisyn, but stopped when i heard the mare follwoing me. Turning back, i sighed. "Im not even going to try to stop you, so just follow me i guess...." I then turned back to where i wanted to go, and we quickly reached the clearing from before.

Cody nodded. "Yeah I'm just.. not use to salt water" he said, smiling

[* Macey *]

Diving back under the water, Macey saw what she was looking for. She reached out and grabbed the Conch shell. Returning to the surface, I showed it to Cody. "Look at this!"

The next morning, Little Cloud awoke earlier than his parents. He decided to run for a little bit. He made sure not to strand far away from his mother though.

Cody smiled at Macey. "What's that?" He asked her

After a full day of getting to know my horse, who i named spirit's secret, and a restless night of trying to sleep against Secret, i was exhausted. I even got up early. "Hungry..." I moaned to myself as i left Secret's soft and warm caramel flank. It was actually quite warm, and as i picked some raspberries from a nearby bush, i was quickly roused from my dreary in-between state. Yawning, i popped a berry in my mouth and savored the sweetness as i picked a few more, stashing them in the single pocket of my dress. I needed to make a new one, i knew how from somehwere, and i was glad i did.
