Alaska turns the dusty, yellowed page of the school library book, eating up the words as does a mouse to cheese. She smiles, adjusting her glasses and reading the last sentence of the book. She reflected on the events of the book before closing it and stowing it on it's proper place in the school library. She waved goodbye to the librarian and started walking to class just as the hall bell rung, indicating that she had 10 minutes to get to her 1st period class. You see, Alaska was quite the nerd and always came to the library a while before school started. There weren't many books in her house, and her parents aren't excactly... nice to her. So, she comes to her favorite place, the library, in the mornings.

"Zachery! Put me down this instant!" June currently was slung over her new boyfriends shoulder. She had been thrilled when Zachery finally got the guts to ask her out. In fact she was over joyed. She just wanted to scream out to the world. Although there had to be a catch. Her brother- if he had found out- would kill his own best friend. Just because he was over protective. June was taken out of her thoughts when Zach had put her down. She stood on her toes to eagerly place a kiss on the top of his nose. "So," She spoke, "What are we going to do today?" June grinned.

Adayln's hazel eyes trailed over Ryan's figure, his tux firmly pressed against his body. She was being closely held by his firm, yet soft hands on her waist. Quietly they rocked, staring into each other's lusted eyes. He could most possibly feel her thudding heartbeat against him, as she could feel his. It felt so right being in his arms, but she knew it was wrong. Adalyn couldn't possibly fall in love with her best friend. His arms are so inviting though... Her thoughts surged. She knew what her heart wanted, but her common sense knew better. "Ryan," She finally spoke, "This is beautiful." Her eyes wandered to the night sky. It was beautiful out tonight.

Rayne stared out the shaded window of the patrol car she currently sat in. She had screwed up bigtime and this was her punishment. To be moved out from the city and to thus little place. Along each side of the road were miles and miles of trees. When the car came to a jerky stop, she opened the door and got a good look of where she was at. Rayne was about ready to turn around and start running, but the officer was already there and grabbed her arm in his meaty paw. He dragged Rayne along towards the house and she began to struggle, but he only tightened his grip. Five months out here? She would never survive. Rayne stomped up the steps and just stood there as the officer knocked on the front door. She didn't know what to expect. She was terrified and angry point blank. That was it.

Levi sat inside of his house as he watched the officers car pull up the dusty drive way. Glancing down towards Spike, he gently patted his head and walked towards the door and greeted the officer " Good afternoon Officer. Names Levi. I'll be watching my newest helper for the 5 months. " Levi's voice was deep and friendly as the officer held the lady by the shoulder. " I thank you for bringing her. I'll surly take it from here. " Levi smiled when the officer nodded as he released the young lady and walked towards his car. " So. I shall show you to your room". Walking up the wooden stairs and stopping at the first room on the left. He opened the door " You will be staying here. The closest is to the left. The bathroom is to the right. " He point left than right as he began to walk in. Looking towards the door, he pointed as a pair of jeans, a white t-shirt and some boots " I'd like you to put those on and meet me outside when your ready. Also there is only I area with Wi-fi. Which is locked at all times. " With that he walked out the door and closed it.

Rayne's blonde head tilted back as she looked up at the tall man. She felt the officer release her and her head turned to follow the officer as he walked back to his car. Rayne turned to look back at the man before she began to follow him. As he showed her the room she would be staying in, her breath left her in a gust of air. The room...well everything was spectacular. As soon as he closed the door, she practically threw the clothes he addressed on the ground. She reclined on the bed and pulled out her phone. True to his word, there was no WiFi and barely a signal. She wouldn't be able to do anything here. With a grumble that sounded like 'whatever cowboy' she got dressed. She threw off her skinny jeans and traded them for the other pair. She put on the white shirt after taking off her 'Swag' sweatshirt and pulled the boots on. Her converse sneakers sat at the foot of the bed and with that she walked outside like he instructed. "Alright capt'n. What're we doin' today?"

Levi sat patiently outside the massive wooden house as he awaited Rayne. Hearing the softly scrapping of the door rubbing against the deck, he turned his head and nodded standing to his feet. " You'll see. " He gave a soft smirk as he continued to walk towards the barns. " Now before I open these doors, I should tell you that not all these horses are to be messed around with. Please whatever you do the last stable is off limits. " With that he opened the white double doors. Horse heads popped out of the stables as they nickered softly towards the two. Levi held the door open as he waited to Rayne to walk on in. Placing a cement block next to the doors to hold them open, he waved his hand towards Rayne to follow. Stopping at a near by stale, he opened the door " For the months you'll be here, I thought that it would be best to give you a horse. " He smiled towards her as he backed away from the stale and allowed her to walk in and meet the Chesnut Gelding. Levi wasn't all rules and working. For For he had days planned that he would allow Rayne to go for a ride or shop at the mall. Levi cleared his throat " he's a recently retired race horse. He was dropped out after he broke his front two legs. I bought him and work at getting him back into shape. Now I want you to work with his rehabilitate and work on him a lot. This job will be down after you help be bring the hay bails down from the feed Barn and water the first two stables. I'll help you with the first two and do the third myself. " He hands Rayne a halter and lead rope to use when she was finished. As Levi leans against the barn he looked around " You can me Levi if you want. May I ask your name Miss? " he rasied his eyebrows before hearing hooves bang on the stable door.

Rayne's eyebrow quirked in question. "Why the last stable? Is there a feral horse in it or something?" She asked. Rayne walked inside as he held the door open for her and followed him as he led the way. When he stopped by a box thingy with a brow horse inside, she wrinkled her nose. "Yeah. I don't think I'll be riding any horses while I'm here. I think i would rather stay inside and read, which I never do." She rolled her eyes as he continued on with a lengthy description about what happened and what he expected her to do with the horse. The feeling of the course rope and halter in her hand had her dropping them in disgust. "As I said. I'm not doing anything with that horse and the name's Rayne." With that, Rayne spun on her heel and began to walk back to the barn entrance and towards the house.

Levi glanced towards her when she asked about the last stable " Just stay away from the stable. Please and thank you" his voice was deep and stern before seeing her drop the halter and lead rope. Taking a deep breath in, he took out the house keys " Ya now this isn't my first rodeo Miss. The whole house is locked. " Smirking softly, he shook his head before walking towards the feed barn. As he began to lift and carry the medium sized hay bails, he listened as the last stable door shook. " It would be nice to have some help. " Glancing towards Rayne, He hands her a large blue bucket " Water hose is over there. It would be nice if you could fill it up " He looked towards the sky and continued to fill up the feed bags for the horses. Dusting his large hands on his now dusty blue jeans, he walked towards the gelding he left for Rayne to be in charge of. Opening the stable door, he clipped his halter and lead rope together. Leading the gelding towards Rayne, he held the lead rope out " I don't know if you realize but I'm trying trying to help you out. I know that leaving everything behind for 5 month can be hard. This is your new life for this period of time. Maybe you should give it a try. You might just like it. " Levi's bright forest green eyes softened as he placed the rope in her hand and lead his to the pastures. " Ya know. You remind me of my little sister, Mia" his voice was deep yet seemed to sadden at words little sister . Opening the pasture gate, he watched as the gelding and Rayne walked in. " Just try. " Slolwy, he walked towards the somewhat rusted steal gate. As he closed the gate, he walked back towards the barns to finish feeding the last out the 3 barns. Although he was working on feeding, he would always look out the glass windows of the barn and check up on the two. Running his hand through his dark Raven hair, he let out a sigh of relief before looking up towards the double locked stable door. " Shall we try again " he muttered as he stared into the eyes of his baby sisters TB stallion. Levi ran his hands against the stables steal bars. For this stale was unlike the rest. It was double locked with steal barns covering the horses peak holes.

Rayne narrowed her eyes as he held up the keys in his hand. With a frustrated growl, she took the blue bucket from him and began to fill it up with water. She turned off the hose and left the bucket sitting there as he placed the lead rope in her hands. Rolling her eyes, Rayne pulled on the rope and walked outside where he showed her. "Little sister?" She snorted. At the sound of the gate closing, Rayne dropped the lead rope before sitting down in the grass. She pulled out her phone and immediately began to play a game when something bumped her. She was startled as the brown horse continued to push at her with its head. "Stop it," she said. Rayne got up and brushed off her pants before she began to walk to the other side of the field. The horse followed her and she growled at it, but the horse didn't give up. If anything, it go more persistent.
