california is the big place in the states, so pack up your bags and visit the golden gate!
your freshman year of college is finally over, and you've saved up enough money for a grand trip to los angeles with some of your best friends. you guys have been planning this for a few years, going off on a big road trip, all of you surviving the world together. these were your high school best friends, and the absolute greatest people you're sure you could ever meet. and now, you're traveling to the best city america has to offer.
but of course, there's a catch. as great as freshman year has been, it's also been crazy weird. from the looks of it, a couple of your friends have been taking an interest in one another, and they're not alone. one of your closest friends has caught your eye, and it's past the point where you can deny feelings for them.
california is known to be a city for the dramatics, so only time will tell if it'll affect the situation- will it be time to swoon, love, or perform a soap-opera slap?

She's floral cardigans and he's band tees. She enjoys indie and he lives by metal. Fashion versus hardcore. They met each other through the rest of the group at the start of last year, and made it a point to hate one another. They were complete opposites and couldn't possibly get along! It's funny how things change. He's the bad boy who looks for fights, and she's the sweetheart hipster who enjoys taking polaroid photos. She thinks he's dangerous, and he thinks she's a cliche. But, those insults and rudeness they've always shot towards one another has become flirty banter, and the group has taken notice. They absolutely want the two of them to be together, but they both still claim to hating one another. Too bad they kissed the day before they went on the trip. Are they going to acknowledge the chemistry between them, or let it become a sad love song?

They both have huge dreams of making in professionally, and are viewing this trip to California not only as a good time with friends, but a good chance at publicity. She has her sights set on being an actress, while he is highly interested in direction & production. She's booked auditions, and he's applied for internships. And a bit before booking, they began to see each other in a different way. They value each other beyond friendship & beyond the professional world... But that definitely wasn't in the script they'd written for their lives. Will they act on these feelings, or will the high-pressure world of showbusiness get in the way? After all, not everyone can make it. They're both highly talented, but then again, so is everyone else in California. Will their budding relationship survive under the harsh lights of Hollywood?

They were made for each other- friend-wise, at least. They're both fun, talkative, party people. She's the kind of girl who loves dance parties with her friends and going around & doing hilariously fun things. He's the one who throws the parties, a smooth talker that can make friends with just about anyone. She's a huge romantic, while he doesn't believe in love. Quite often, he's been labeled as a player. She and the rest of the group know that's not the case. For a long while now, they've been "talking". It wasn't anything serious, as she knows how he feels about love & relationships. This flirting has been done in secret, though. They don't want anyone in the group to suspect anything, so they often sneak around to hang around each other. However, the night before they left for the trip, they hung out and got a bit too carried away with the flirting. And this, of course, can only lead to a dramatic event made for california: an unplanned pregnancy. Will she tell him, or any of her friends, for that matter? Just as important, what will he & everyone else think?

Best friends since births, there are photographic records of the two taking baths together, playing in the sandbox, pulling hair, prom shopping, and graduating high school. They've been through everything together, and plan to stay that way. The summer before college, however, she began to develop feelings for him. She went to act on them, but as it would turn out, he did not reciprocate. Things were awkward for a little while, but they soon picked up where they left off. More recently, she had gotten a boyfriend, and he found himself getting jealous. Wait, jealous? As in- feelings for her? He's been trying to deny the feelings he has towards her, but can't shake them. Now, she's broken up with that boy and is looking at the trip as an escape from her messy breakup & a chance to reconnect with all of her old friends. Could he be viewing it as an opportunity?

let's get this thing started! you've packed your bags, hugged out your goodbyes, and passed through
airport security! it's time to board the plane that will take you guys straight to your vacation
destination! so many great things are in store, and all you have to do is survive a couple hour plane
ride. so take your seats, listen to the safety instructions, and pray you're not forced to use the tiny
plane bathroom. hopefully you can strike up a good conversation with your seat partner, as well!

so basically, the plane is making its way around the runway & preparing for takeoff. this particular
plane has two seats per row, and you're welcome to chose your seat partner [does not have to be
your couple partner]. we'll have a little bit of conversation on the plane, and then timeskip to
after they've landed and are preparing to head out. sound good? i hope so. they'll be in cali for
roughly the entire summer, and there's so much in store! so, go on the thread & make your first
posts! remember, at least three lines per post & at least some formatting, please!

btw, i will not be making these timeskips often, just when we need a mass timeskip to an
important event.

→ Breanna ended up being one of the first people from her group of friends on the plane. She sat in the seat printed on her ticket, F6, heart beating just a little faster from excitement, and maybe even a bit of fear. Don't get me wrong- Bree loved the feeling of flying in planes & was a seasoned veteran of facing turbulence & airplane bathrooms, but there was always that nagging feeling of slight fear. She was not afraid of heights, nor was she afraid of tight, closed spaces. She loved flying in planes, but couldn't shake the thought that there was a chance of crashing. Usually, though, once the plane got going, that fear melted away. She pulled a piece of gum from her purse & popped it in her mouth, watching everyone file in. She waited for one of her friends to sit beside her.
The brunette buckled her seatbelt as the plane lurched forward, gaining speed on the runway. The flight attendants were wrapping up their safety speech. Bree had seen the same speech many times, but still found it entertaining to watch. They soon took their seats, and the plane glided into the air, a small smile tugging at the corner of Bree's lips. She pulled her legs in to sit criss-cross in her seat, and watched everything shrink as the plane rose higher and higher. That's when she remembered the one thing more exciting than the plane ride itself: a plane ride to California.

He grabbed all of his luggage and headed for the plane excited for this amazing trip with his friends but he was also a little scared of what could be ahead but he focused on the excitement.He boarded the huge plane and looked at the printed letter and number on the ticket that would tell him where to sit.When he found his seat he found he was sitting next to Bree "Oh hi!" he said putting his luggage in the space made for it that was above them he then sat down and buckled in "You excited?I am!" he said looking out of the window to see they had started moving so he listened then to the safety speech even thought he already knew what it was going to say to all of the people on the plane,

Planes. Grayson wasn't to fond of them and he had only been on one a total of three different occasions. Blue eyes scanning over the seats to find the number F4, after a minute or two he found it. The twenty-one year old walked down the aisle and took his seat beside his friend before buckling himself in the seat. He didn't sat a word as he heard Evan and Bree in front of him, first he needed to calm his nerves a bit. Then the plane was up in the air. Most of the nervousness subsided but some of it was still there. He turned to look out the window and watched the ground grow smaller and smaller. Relaxing a bit more, he pulled out his earbuds for a moment. He had brough them along with his laptop to possibly watch a movie or two and just listen to some music. That was, after he spoke with whichever friend had the seat beside him.

→ Bree was caught up in staring out the window, watching as the luggage carriers brought in the bags, as people shuffled around, orange glowing sticks in their hands as they prepared to guide the plane. She was caught up in it, completely mesmerized, and then there was a thud, and a voice. A small gasp escaped from her lips and she looked beside her to find the one person she'd been simultaneously hoping to see & avoid all morning. The girl bit her lip, vibrant blue eyes searching his face to see his current feelings towards her. She quickly painted a smile on her face. Yes, Bree was utterly excited to sit beside Evan. However, they had to quickly split up early in the morning after getting involved last night. Judging from his adorably goofy smile & excited eyes, he seemed to be focusing elsewhere, which was both a good and a bad thing. He obviously wasn't unhappy with the way things played out, but they also needed to talk about it. But not now.
"Hey, you," she greeted him warmly. "Excited? Of course!" she replied, attempting to force thoughts of the night before out of her mind for the moment. She could enjoy the plane ride sitting beside one of her favorite people. "Who isn't excited to go to California?" A moment later, complimented with a giggle from laughing at herself, the girl added, "Is it bad that I made a detailed schedule of what places I'm gonna go to and when? She ran a hand through her hair, glancing down at the carpeted floor, and then back up as a flash of brown hair caught her attention. Bree leaned forward to the row in front of her, tapping on Grayson's shoulder. "Hey homie!" she greeted, voice as silly as her words. The girl glanced between the boy beside her & in front of her, face completely lit up with enthusiasm now.
