Serena laid down on the ground on her stomach, barely awake, her eyes barely opened, not wanting to see the blinding light fully. She pushed herself up to sit up straight, and rubbed her eyes before taking in what was all around her. What happened? she wondered, with her brain yet unrefreshed, herself very unsure of the change of scenery from the plane to something more tropical. Her eyes suddenly widened once she realized what might have happened, and she very quickly looked around her body for injuries that she might have not felt yet. She sighed in relief when she figured that her body was still all in once piece, but then was worried again. Where was everyone else? She didn't want to die here, not alone.
As soon as the feeling of desperation came to her, she heard voices, familiar yelling from not quite a distance. Serena slowly stood up, unsure if her legs would be able to hold her up, her legs were wobbly but she didn't fall. She needed to make sure they know where she is, perhaps they were people looking for survivors, or they were stuck in the same situation as she was. Anyhow, she couldn't stay quiet for long, feeling she could get even more anxious if she didn't answer. Indeed, this was the right choice. "H-Hello?" she called back, her voice shaking slightly. She was looking around herself, looking at the area, trying to recall where the noises would have came from. "Is anyone there?! I'm a-alive!" Her eyes kept on scanning the horizon for at least a silhouette of a person, hoping that the person wasn't too far. She cupped her hands, "Where are you?!" She stopped screaming once she saw something when she turned, however.
From the distance, she saw a light. Serena then realized, that was where the calling was from, and so she slowly approached it cautiously, one step after another. Her mouth was shut tight, her throat was closed, she was reluctant to make any more noise after alerting whoever might be there of her existence.
