J.D. let an actual smile rest on her lips. "Interesting." she said lifted her head a bit, "What would you do if you saw a blue dog shaped pizza?"

He luaghed "I would eat it?". He tried to imagen a blue dog shaped pizza.

J.D. nodded her head. "I would, too." As they neared the apartment complex, J.D. knew her dad probably was waiting for her to get Georgi. She turned to Alec and held her hand up. "Wait here. I'll be right back." she said as she ran off towards the building. When she returned, a medium sized, red, Australian Shepherd trotted behind her. "This is Georgi." she introduced the pup.

"Cute!" He said, looking down at the pup.

J.D. turned on her heels motioning to Alec with her hand for him to follow. "Thanks. Come on Georgi needs to run off his energy." she said. She looked down at the dog jumping around and pulling on the leash.

J.D. looked up once more and forced a small smile. "Same." she muttered, "So, um." she tried to find words to break the ice but nothing was coming to her.

Alex sat down and took a drink from his own cup. "So, Liz." he started, "Tell me about yourself. What is your life like?"

I took another sip before setting my cup down. "I used to live in London she I was 15. About three months ago we moved here. I don't have many friend. My parents homeschooled me and my brother so I never actually went to school." I said. I took another drink and looked back at Alex. "What js your story?" I asked arching an eyebrow drinking more coffee.

He nodded and followed. "I always wanted a dog but my parents never liked the idea." he said as he walked next to J.D.

J.D. looked over to the boy and frowned a bit. "Aw, why not? Dogs teach people about responsibility. Why wouldn't they let you have one?''

Alex shrugged "Not that it matters but, I grew up in a small town. It's was pretty cool. But when we moved here I didn't loose many friends. Now that I am here, I have some new, better friends."

"I don't know I guess they just didn't like dogs or pets" He said with a shrug.

Connor walked Middle to Starbucks. "Here we are." He smiled as he opened the door for Maddie.
