Well...until he just became a loner and people finally left him alone. Sort of. And now, he was here, in the dark, seeing nothing but these wretched memories play back through his mind like a movie, and the voices that carried the hurtful words echoing throughout the strange room. Why was he here? How did he even get here? He wasn't sure...it was foreign to him, and was starting to make him quite anxious. BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Suddenly, Dillon found his eyes flying wide open in surprise as he jumped a bit. He blinked, looking at his surroundings for a moment before he realized something. He wasn't in a dark room, really - at least, not the pitch-black dark room he had thought he was in. Rather, he had been asleep, and that had only been a nightmare. A sigh slipped past his barely parted lips before he pulled the warm covers away from his torso and legs, then got out of bed. Honestly, the words hurt - and so did anything else that his peers had done over the years. It was much more obvious back then how much it had affected him, than it was now. He concealed it by distancing himself from anyone other than family, and basically shutting out anyone who even tried to get to him. He acted more shut in, cold to those he wasn't close to - although, he wasn't trying to be unkind or act cold...that was just how it came across to most other people. He quickly shoved the thought to that same corner of his mind that he always kept it contained in, trying not to think about it, really. There was no use in dwelling on it, he thought.Dillon Scott Carter

He wasn't sure why his alarm had gone off, truthfully - it had not been a school day, and he thought he had removed that alarm from his reminders as a result. Regardless, he was already up and alert, so headed over to his closet to get some clothes. He ended up grabbing a black teeshirt with the Vans logo on it, some black skinny jeans, and a pair of black Vans, along with his usual silver guitar pick necklace. He headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower, then got dressed and finally headed back to his room. He grabbed his phone and his wallet, then went down to the kitchen to feed Shadow. He filled the empty bowl with the right amount of dog food, then the other with water. "Shadow," he called, loud enough for the puppy to hear, but without waking anyone else. Immediately, he could hear the clatter of little puppy paws tapping against the hardwood floor, and soon, a black little bolt of furry lightning zipped into the room and by Dillon's feet. He chuckled as the little Scottie Dog wagged his tail and headed over to the bowls to eat. He went back up to his room and fed Pip, his little hamster, and closed the cage back up afterwards. He then headed downstairs, called Shadow to go on a walk, and then headed out of the house with the pup. He didn't bother to go tell his adoptive parents, Leanna and Jacob, that he was going anywhere, because he knew they would still be asleep at that point. They would have been in the kitchen getting some breakfast, had they been awake, or in the living room watching TV until they had to go to work. They had not been spotted in either place, from what he had seen. So, with that, he began to head down the street, Shadow in tow. Whilst he walked, he pulled his black iPod 5 out of his pocket and turned it on. He scrolled through his music, finally deciding on Thousand Foot Krutch. He clicked on the song, "Courtesy Call" on their The End Is Where We Begin album. He smirked a little and started to mouth the lyrics, drumming his fingers against the back of the device he held in his hand to the beat of the song. He wasn't quite sure where he was going, but obviously...it would have to be a pet-friendly environment, wherever he went. So, really, he was just walking aimlessly down the street with Shadow, for the time being.
