The vet turns to look at the boy and says, "I am trying to help here so don't get sarcastic with me."

"I'm not your kid. You know?!" Fabian said back. He glared at him.

The vet turns back to the mare and says, "We need to get her back to the stables and keep her up and walking. Someone should be with her at all times until she is better. If she keeps falling down, put her in a big stall and put her in a horse sling."

" Fabien watch your tone." Violetta warned. "Thank you doc. I think I can get her back."

[SaphiraBrightscales]

The vet nods and gets his gelding, saying "You're welcome, Miss. I am going to be in the fields, examining the filly, if you need me." He turns his horse around the gallops back to the ranch. He heads into the fields, toward the filly.

Liz hears footsteps and places a calming hand on the filly, humming softly.

Star whinnies, still having her ears pinned down.

Violetta sighs. "Come on sweet girl. Do you want to see your friend?"

Lilly sees the vet and thrashes attempting to stand.

Liz stays close to Lilly and says softly, "It's okay, girl"

Star whinnies and takes a few steps toward the woman.

The vet approaches slowly. "Easy girl I won't hurt you.

Lilly pins her ears snorting and tries to the point of shaking to get to her feet. Falling back to her knees as the vet approaches. "WWhat happened?"

Liz looks in the direction of the voice and says, "I don't know. I heard some commotion and I came out here. When I found out that she was down, I called you." She puts her other hand on the ground and feels a halter on the ground. She frowns slightly and picks it up. "It's okay, Lilly," Liz says gently.

Lilly trembles struggling away from the vet as blood runs down her foreleg. "Can you hold her still? It looks like she cut her front leg pretty deep."
