Dillon tugged on the black ring embedded in his lower lip, then nodded a bit in her direction. "Hello," he responded simply before standing up and dusting himself off, once again. He could see the girl's cheeks begin to turn a bright red. She seemed quite nervous, or embarrassed perhaps. He then glanced over at Shadow and the rabbit, noticing that Shadow was now crawling onto the girl's lap to get a closer look at the strange, foreign creature - at least, it was foreign to Shadow, anyway - that the dog and his master had stumbled upon. "Uh...again, I'm sorry," he said with a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck a bit. Well, he couldn't get out of this one. It would be way too rude to just walk off without apologizing, he thought, no matter how much he didn't want to be socializing with, well...anyone, to be quite frank. He knelt down to pick the curious little Scottie Dog up, then ran a hand through his styled, dark brown hair. "I didn't hurt you, at all...uh...did I?" he asked, his tone quiet and matching the sheepish expression on his face.

Shy mentally slapped herself, regretting not putting little Penny on a leash as the pup did exactly as she had predicted before she could even reach her. She went right up to the boy and his dog, friendly as ever, excited and always happy to encounter new people. Upon hearing the boy speak to her, Shy stopped in her tracks for a moment, and was now just a few feet away from the boy and the two dogs. She bit her lip, nodding shyly as she allowed some of her curled, dark chocolate brown hair to fall into her face, her hazel eyes suddenly darting down to the ground, to her dog. Darn it, Penny...she thought to herself with a soft sigh. "U-um...yeah. She is...um...s-sorry...I guess...um...I should have put her on a leah," she stuttered nervously, a small, nervous laugh trailing past her lips afterwards, as she started walking over to them once more. Honestly, she was a bit reluctant, but she knew she should get the mischievous little puppy before she started running off to someone who could have passed by. She scooped the little pup - who was only just slightly larger than a soda can, and only weighed a good 3.4 pounds - up into her arms, then glanced up at the boy, forcing a small smile onto her soft, pink lips. "I hope she didn't cause you any trouble..." she said as before glancing back down at the pup.
