Chase glanced up at her, pulling out an earbud. "What." He said flatly, tilting the screen down towards his stomach so she couldn't see it. Before he hid it though, it was easy to catch a glimpse of what had been on the screen. Some news video about police.

Lola

She stood behind Brooke knowing she felt safer around another girl with her. She had a curious face on as she stood still with a small smile listening in.

Brooke shook her head. "Nothing. What'cha watching?" She had caught the glimpse of the news sight, but hadn't seen the police line. "News?"

I'm in... *counts mentally* Eight...? Mostly 1x1s though. Oh wait maybe nine. It's crazy sometimes o.e ))

Chase - Brooke, Lola

"Yeah, news." Chase grunted, glaring up at her. "Now buzz off." He said, hating how she tried getting into his business.

She cleared her smile off of her face as Chase didn't seem to be happy. "Sorry" she blurted out as she lowered her voice "Brooke maybe we should leave him to it?" she whispered to Brooke quite loudly

Brooke

Brooke scowled at him. "Whatever," she said. "I've got something I'm working on, anyways."
She walked over to a table and pulled a sheet of paper out from a bin. The paper was already marked, as she had been working on it for days. It was a landscape view of a field. It wasn't nearly as good as Matti or Moe's art, but she was pleased.

Chase - Brooke, Lola

Chase scowled back at Brooke, sticking his earbud back in and playing the video. He watched them for a few minutes, face growing angrier all the while.

Brooke

Brooke wasn't sure why he was so irritated, but she could see him scowling out of the corner of his eye. It's not like he was doing something incriminating... she thought, becoming upset herself. She hated when people were angry at her. Her mind was racing, trying to figure out what she had done wrong.
"What?" she finally asked as his glare became more and more intense. "Are you glaring at me because I saw you reading some dumb news page? Didn't want anyone to know you stay up to date on current events?"
