Lucky for Brooke- she was fast. Maybe it was because she was so high-strung, or because she was so afraid of being left behind, but she was good at keeping up with people. She didn't talk- if he wanted to, he could start the conversation.

Chase - Brooke

Ok so apparently the girl could keep up. That was a good thing, for her, because he was very tempted to leave her behind. He glanced back occasionally to make sure she was still there, then kept moving. He was confused as to why the girl wasn't talking, didn't they talk a lot? Or was that only when they weren't grumpy?

Brooke

Brooke thought it was actually kind of sweet of him to keep looking back for her. When they broke free of the woods and she could see the house again, she nodded at him. "Thanks," she said, rather awkwardly, before going back to the window well she had climbed out of. She dropped back in, climbed through, and started trying to fit the panel with the screen back onto the window.

Chase - Open

He gave a curt nod as Brooke thanked him and watched her climb back into the house. Deciding he'd done enough punching for one day, he headed inside, hoping no one would ask about his bloodied knuckles.

Sorry for the double post but I don't think anyone saw my post on the discussion topic, loveoutloud do you think Cal could ask Chase about his bloody knuckles? I'm currently out of other ideas for stuff for them to do. ))

Cal

Cal stepped into the foyer just as Chase came through the door. "Hey," he said. He then noticed the bloody knuckles. "What happened to your hands?"

Chase - Cal

He actually nodded in a brief greeting and glanced down at his hands. "Nothin, just practicing." Chase said, brushing some dirt out of the cuts with a barely noticeable wince.

Matti Ray - Cal, Chase

He walked around until he found the two older males talking, going up and tapping Chase on the shoulder. Now was a good time to give him that picture he thought, currently holding it behind his back and smiling excitedly.

As soon as he'd finished speaking, he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around, raising an eyebrow at Matti. "What." He grunted, wondering what the kid was grinning about. Was he hiding something?

Matti Ray - Chase

He let out a little giggle and held up the picture for him. "I uh...I drew this for you." He said, blinking innocently.
