I saw him try to stand but his legs started having tremors, and I got really worried.
"Yeah, Yeah of course." I put his arm around my shoulder and helped him to my couch and sat him down. It was a fold-out bed-couch so I pushed a button and the bottom half popped out, I pulled it and grabbed a fuzzy blanket from draping over a chair and gave it to Daniel.
"Cuddle up, get cozy, and I'll be right back."
I went to the kitchen and got some fever reducer meds, a cold pack, a banana, a glass of water, and I heated up a bowl of rice.

I kept my eyes on hers then finally took another sip. "So um... What do you like to do?" I wanted to get to know Emily as much as possible. I wanted this friendship to never die. Then perhaps, we could go to formal together. Perhaps.

Daniel.
He wrapped the blanket around himself and waited for her to return. A memory made its way into my mind: I was a little boy, stricken with a fever like this, and my mother and father were there. My little brother was nudging me, his nose bleeding and mother and father shouting in the background. He had tears in his eyes and I scooped him up, wiping the tears and blood away. I didnt ask him where he got the bleed, I already knew it was from him.

I looked around and tried some things on. "Any luck?", I asked.

"Not really, but hold on a sec," he says to Carly, letting go of her hand before going up to a sales associate. He talks to him and explains what's going on, then tells me to wait up a minute. As Jeremy waits, he looks over at Carly and smiles before the associate returns with an open box containing a pair of shoes, "just off the truck," he explains. Jeremy tries them on and walks around to get a feel for them. He then walks over to Carly. "What you think of these? They go great with my tux."

I ran upstairs to my bedroom and grabbed a stack of movies for him. I came back down, got a tray, put all the food on it, along with the water and the two pills.
"Daniel? Hey love. I have some food, if you still have an appetite, a bunch of movies if you want to watch something, a cold pack, and some fever reducers. I'm gonna run upstairs, just holler if you need anything, alright?"
