The tall, raven-haired girl made her way down the block, holding her black peacoat to her thin frame. She was also wearing galaxy print leggings and Doc Martens and a grey scarf around her neck. She hated mornings. She hated cold. And she hated cold mornings. Winter must have been coming in early, for when the wind buffeted her face, it felt cold and crisp. Any day now, snow could fall, and cover everything in sight with a soft white layer. Now, she didn't have anything against snow; she had many snowball fights and snowman-making contests when she was little, but she wished it wouldn't pile up and make travel difficult. Just last year, she had gotten snowed in. Not very fun, might I add. But this was how Esther was in the morning: groggy and bitter. This is why she was headed to StarBucks, to get herself a nice coffee to wake up and warm up. This had become something of a routine for her. Routines were always good to keep organized and on track, but after a while they could become constricting and boring. So she was hoping to do something different today. She didn't know what, but she knew she'd know it once it happened.

"Thank you so much" she said giggling slightly her cheeks still very pink. She chewed on her bottom lip nervously as she attempted to think of a way to continue talking to the girl. Then she realized she was still referring to her as "The girl" and thought she should ask her name. "I'm Jezebelle by the way" she mentioned smiling at the while she ran her fingers through her hair. "Soo how bout I buy you an apology drink?" she asked winking slightly in attempt to test the flirting. It was so hard to tell if a girl was into you or if they were just being nice, but hey this girl was worth a shot in the dark.

He paused before answering and she frowned regretting asking the question. But once he spoke up she was surprised. Her head shot up and her eyes met his once more. She agreed with what he said completely. She remembered how it started, how all of it started. She remembered the boy in the corner crying as the bigger boys kicked him. She stopped them, but then they chose to pick on her instead. When she got older more people joined in and school became misery. She realized she had zoned out again and looked back up at him realizing he had no idea who she was.."I'm Indigo" she said smiling at him a bit. "Thank you again for helping me; it means more than you know." she said softly her eyes trailing along his face and taking him in.

"Yeah it is long, but its pretty" he said grinning at her. "Can I call you Ever?" he asked curiously "I mean just for short you know" he said kind of awkwardly rubbing his hand along the back of his neck.

Oliva chuckled too and stood in line
