He rubbed at his hands a little before getting to his feet. His glasses had a little crack in them, and he sighed. He leaned over to pick up his book before looking up to see Veronica had glanced back at him. He had a little hurt expression on his face, as if he thought it was her fault. He knew it wasn't though, he just thought she might have at least asked if he was okay. Though he didn't expect her to, so he just shrugged it off and continued walking. When he reached the school, some of the football players blocked him from entering the building. One of them snatched his book away, looked at it, snorted, and then threw it behind him. Joey gasped and then frowned, crossing his arms over his chest. "Can you move p-please?" he asked the bigger boys politely, but they never moved, so he just stood there.

Evan heard a commotion from the hallways and saw a bunch of football players bullying someone. He walked up to them and smacked the back of their heads before grabbing the book and handing it back to the boy. "Here you go." he said simply, then he turned and started to walk away but not before bumping into the football players. He doesn't know why he decided to help the boy, but he did.

Brendon trudged into school, his longboard under his chest. Ignoring the mean names people were calling him, he carried on down the hall, his chin up. There was no way anyone could ruin his emotional limits and make him break. Finally he noticed a small clump of boys, and things looked pretty heated. He approached the group and soon figured out the situation. "What's going on here?" he asked. He had a firm expression on his face. He clutched his longboard.

She sighed quietly as she saw Joey's hurt expression since it made her guilt worse. As he walked into school she soon followed to see some football players giving Joey a hard time. Once again she started to feel bad for Joey. Why was she feeling this,like she could realate?! She wasn't a nerd like him! She was at the top of the school! Of course she could realate but she tried to forget about that fact. She walked through the group as they made way for her. She stuck her head high as she walked. After she was out of the group the bullies took King's glasses and walked away snickering. The boys walked outside to the field and she followed. "Give it up boys."she ordered as she went to them with her hands making a beconing movement. "We were going to break it and what could you do with it?"one of the guys asked as he turned to her. "Let her have it Brock."another guy said as he gave Veronica a smile and took the glasses out of the guys hands and gave it to her. She gave him a quick smirk and soon was on her way back into the school and to Joey. She had to make this like she wasn't doing something nice for a nerd. She walked to him quickly a mumbled "I found this on the grass.....jerk." She dropped the glasses into his hands. Soon she turned.

A boy came up amd retrieved his book, giving it back to him. Joey nodded a thanks as the boy walked away. The next thing he knew, his glasses were being ripped off his face. He gasped, reaching his hands out to snatch them back. But the boys had already begun walking away. Frowning, Joey let his hands fall to his sides. He plopped down on the floor against the wall, with his book in his lap. Soon Veronica came up to him and dropped the glasses onto his lap. He looked up at her, and smiled. "Thank you!" he said quickly, watching as she turned around.

"I-I don't deserve that."she whispered as she started to walk to her locker. Even though she still felt like she didn't deserve anything a smile crept on to her face because in the corner of her eye there was Joey so happy. She opened her locker and grabbed her things. As she looked in the mirror she watched Joey and pretended to look disgusted in her hair. She started to comb it and she watched everything around her.

Joey was a little disappointed she didn't say anything after that, but he still kept a smile on his face. He was still happy. He felt like she had just made his day, even though it was just something as simple as returning his glasses to him. As he put his glasses back on, he stood up, grabbing his book and the pages that had been torn out of it. He walked to his locker, which was only a few lockers away from Veronica's. He pulled it open, and slipped his book inside it.
