Once he gets inside, he pulls a towel out of his backpack and dries himself off. A fellow student notices and looks at him funny. "Uh... it's just habit from where I used to go to school." He then hangs the towel around his neck before posting up at a location in the hall.

~ Samantha grew up close to her grandparents farm,
and thus has always harboured a love for horses and country life.
She learned to ride almost as soon as she could walk,
and did so as much as she could following that experience.
Her mother, Katey, got offered a job in the city and took it.
The date happened to be Sammy's 11th birthday, and her whole world shattered.
The job forced them to move away from the country and into the busy city.
At first Sam resented the change and longed for the open air and countless stars in the country,
but in time she also grew to love the bustle and charm of busy down town.
She never really lost her love of the country however, even as she attends Umbrel High as a senior.
Sam is what you would consider the quiet type at all.
She loves to make friends, socialize, and is generally outgoing.
Friends seems to come naturally to her, and Sam doesn't go out of her way to be malicious or rude to anyone.
Her manner, however, can grow bossy and demanding at times due to her pride and leadership skills,
along with her independence. Sam is quiet charming and intelligent as well,
but again these traits can lead to arrogance and a condescending attitude.
Samantha has always felt rather trapped by the idea of being a popular,
and what stereotypes and expectations the rank seems to bring.
She doesn't agree with some of the other's treatment of loners or nerds, but like anyone,
Sam can get swept up in the parties and laughter the position brings as well.
All the same, she finds herself wondering what life would be as a loner or another person,
and secretly is curious to experience it.

Samantha drove neatly into her usual parking spot, exiting her deep blue VW Bug and shaking out her hair. Somehow it had managed to get tangled in the 10 minute drive, but it was partially her own fault for leaving it down. Her hand went absently to her wrist, searching for a hair tie, but came back empty. Oh well.
She made one last check around the car. Backpack was with her, phone in her back pocket, and car keys in her other. Satifised, Samantha locked her car and began to walk towards the doors, not bothering with an umbrella. The rain felt cool and refreshing on her skin, and would make her messy hair look slightly less messy.
Samantha took a deep breath and entered the building, nervousness fluttering in her heart briefly. It was a new year after all. Luckily, it seemed the other students were as nervous, if not more, as she was. Sweeping her slightly damp hair over one shoulder, Samantha sought out a familiar face among the milling masses., doing her best to project her usual aura of confidence and charm.

Surprised, Sam stumbled back, her hoodie falling partially over her face. She quickly regaining her balance and glanced at the girl in front of her who was biting her lip. She looked quiet nervous - who was she? Another popular? Not likely, but then popular came in all shapes and sizes.
Nevertheless, Sam shrugged and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Hey, no worries. I'm still in one piece!" Her thoughts wandered a moment, back to last school year. Hadn't she seen this girl before? Sam vaguely recalled a face, a sophmore.
She then spoke, putting a friendly expression on her face. "Hey, you're Kaylee right? In my biology class last year?"
