"Sorry, I meant he's going to have to come into the house. I can carry the tyke, he's only about 80 pounds." Dalyce said, purposely not looking at the mother. "In the house you go."

Mae pushed herself up and grabbed her crutches so she wouldn't fall. She bit her lip, sighing. After a moment, she looked at Dalyce. "Let's go."
