Going around the corner she went back to her dorm hallway. She leaned against the wall and sighed, this is going to be a long year. She thought

Grace finally decided that sitting around in her dorm was not going to get any more interesting--even with a talkative cockatiel commenting on everything in her ear. So she gently eased the door open, the bird still perched on her shoulder and carefully put one foot into the corridor, then the other. She jumped, startled when she saw another girl at the end of the hall.
