Harley was sitting at his desk as he waited for the bell to ring and felt his phone buzz in his back pocket. He pulled it out discreetly and kept it under the desk as he read the text, his heart sinking. Yeah, because Alice is totally the person I want to go out with. Definitely not you or anything, nope. He thought sarcastically before sighing and figuring he should respond.

Why are you suddenly so adamant that I have a girlfriend?

He typed quickly before sending it and shoving his phone into his front pocket so he could reply quickly next time. I don't wanna go on a double date. I don't wanna see some other guy chatting Rose up! Why would she think this is a good idea?! Oh. Wait. That's right, you idiot. She doesn't know you're freaking mad for her. Oops.

Rose taps her foot repetitively on the ground in anticipation for Harley's text. She knew that he wouldn't be too eager to go on this date. She picked her phone up from the table as soon as it buzzed and read the message. She sighed, deciding on how she would convince him to come.

I just want someone to make you smile, and maybe help get the jocks off your back. Look, if you say no I will have to go on the date without you because I have already said yes. It will be more fun if you're there!

She clicked send and put her phone back on the table. It buzzed again but when she checked it was from Alice: "Meet you at 7!" Was the text. Rose replied quickly and put the phone in her lap, as her teacher began walking around the room.

Harley read the text again under his desk, sighing. I really don't wanna do this. But... He tapped his reply quickly and bit his lip, shoving his phone back into his pocket again.

Okay. Fine. But... I don't have to get dressed all cute or nothin', right? Bc I really don't want to do that ok

He really, really didn't want to go, but at least he'd be with her... right? And Alice isn't exactly the worst person on the planet or anything. It'll be fine, he convinced himself. It'll be fine. He thought as he wondered what Rose's reaction to his text would be.

Rose almost squealed when she read the text. She was so excited. She then thought about what she was going to wear, how do style her hair, how do to her make up... She was completely lost in thought before she realised she hadn't answered Harley yet. She began typing right away.

Yay! You're the best. I'll help you pick what to wear, I'll come over after school?

Rose clicked send, then started thinking of the date. She hoped it would go well, and Alice is definitely the type of girl to kiss on a first date. Rose suddenly felt a string of jealously. I should be the one to make Harley happy, not Alice... Rose thought, before shaking her head annoyed at herself. She just wanted him to be happy.

Harley smiled slightly and kept his forehead on the desk so it looked like he was resting. He quickly tapped a reply, and of course it was a sarcastic one.

Don't you always come to my house after school though? *raises eyebrow* And you'd better not go crazy or anything

He sent it and turned his phone over so the glow wasn't visible, and silently thanked God he had Ms. Friesenhahn 2nd period, as she was probably the most apathetic teacher in the school when it came to students sleeping or texting or eating. His mind wandered to what all would happen tonight, and he hoped Alice didn't make a move on him or anything like that. Although he knew she probably would because, well, they're going on a date.

Swinging his head to look at Doll, he nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. The school's just really on my back, it's going
to be hard to get by with any funny business this time around," he said, shoving his hands into his pockets. He
wanted to tell her more, and he planned to, but the bell had erupted around them and he was cut off by
noise and people walking all around them. "We should talk after school or something," he paused, "If we
don't have too much homework or something. Text me," he said with a smile and ran off to his next class.
