He suddenly lifted his hands and covered his ears, all the excuses, he didn't believe it, he couldn't, he couldn't trust again. He dropped to his knees and closed his eyes tightly.

i looked away for a second, wiping the lone tears off my face, before wiping off some makeup with my hand, revealing the scar on my face and the bruise of my arm. i stepped closer to him. "you really think i did this to myself?"

Katie looks at Alaska. She didn't want to abandon Jesse just in case this went wrong.

Jesse

He didn't look, he didn't need facts or proof that it wasn't her fault, he had been deeply wounded, logic wasn't something he wanted to hear. His mind was reeling, he didn't know what to do.

i just kinda stood there. "well, if you can hear me...i made a pact with zane that i would do what he wanted if he left you alone." i said, staring ahead.

Jesse

He took a long, shaky breath. "Why?"

"i didn't want him to go after you anymore. i'm sorry jesse...for everything." i say, before turning around to leave.

Jesse

He slowly stood up, swaying a little. "So you're just going to leave?!" He said in almost a sob, a sob of true loneliness. "I thought we'd keep trying...no matter what, but now...people really are all the same aren't they."

some more tears fell onto my cheeks and i turned around. "i just thought you'd wouldn't want to see me again." i mutter.

The tears fell steadily over his cheeks and he clenched a hand into a fist. "I can't live without you!" He cried back, growling from pent up frustration and breathing heavily at the ground. "I almost didn't..."
