I walked out of a room and started towards the hospital doors to leave. I stopped as I saw someone sitting and looking nervous. I opened the door and walked in. I smiled and waved. And reached for my notepad and pencil from my bag so I could talk with him. I could always use sign language but never knew if anyone knew it or not. I wrote out, "Hello. I'm Nick. I'm mute. You seem a bit nervous.. are you okay?"
