Aeris laughed along with Landon, glad that he was putting up with her weirdness. She didn't understand how people lived without a sense of humor. To laugh is to breathe. No laughing...that's not a good place to be. But whatever place Aeris was in right now it was a happy one, for sure. When she had finished laughing she finally replied. "Yes. You are the most luxurious and magnificent pegacorn." She bet her friend's sister would laugh too and say "boys can't be pegacorns!" to which Aeris would reply "well why not?" Then she would stop and think and say, "cus they are for girls" and Aeris would say "Nonsense! Anyone can be whatever they want to be!" And so on. You could say Aeris's views were very liberal.

Klunk, klunk. The sound of combat boots walking down the hall announced the arrival of Plum Creek's newest student: a tall, slim, well-dressed figure with short raven-black hair. Their name was Blair Aleksandr, and they were not only new to the school, but to the country. Less than a month ago, Blair's family had moved in from Romania. Blair had resisted the move, because they only had one year left of school, and moving then seemed pointless and plain stupid. But their father had spoke of greatness and grandeur awaiting them in America and their mom was a sucker for that stuff. So here they were. Blair wasn't too upset since they had never really gotten along with the others in their old school. So going to a new school could very well be a new start.

Tristyn was also happy to hear the bell. Most people lived for free period, but she found it so boring. So although she hated math, she headed to Algebra II with a good attitude. Who knows, she might get a nice teacher, and maybe meet some cute girls? Another good thing was that the class was on the floor she was already on: 2nd. It wasn't because she was lazy, she just didn't like dealing with the busy stairways.
