Even with her own earbud in, Elena heard music other than her own. Her eyes flickered to Lin for just a second and she saw that he had his own music playing. Her lips turned slightly at the corners before returning to the thin line she was so used to wearing. She recognized the song he was playing as one she had.

Lin hummed along to the song he was playing, which was one of his favorites. Rat A Tat by Fall Out Boy feat. Courtney Love. He held onto his backpack strap as he walked and kept his eyes fixed ahead of him.

Stella swayed her arms back and forth as she walked. She turned and saw Elena listening to music too. "Oh? What're you playin'?" She asked.

She shrugged, "It's just a playlist I made a while ago. It's mostly Fall Out Boy and Panic At The Disco. Some other bands, too. They aren't that popular anymore, though."

Lin didn't hear her.

Elena smiled and laughed a little. When she didn't hear a response from him she turned her head and glanced at him. He had made no sign that he had heard either of them. I guess he's really into his music, she thought. Elena could understand that.

Stella grumbled. "I swear, boy likes music more than people." She giggled slightly. "Oh wait, I do too."

Lin was still humming along to the song and he couldn't hear anything they were saying.

She smiled, half of her attention on Stella and half on her music. She suddenly realized that she had actually met two people today, something she would've never done before. Not that she was entirely comfortable with either of them, but still. She self-consciously pulled down her sweater sleeves, they were now covering her hands, what she was used to.

Stella unlocked the door to their dorm and swung it open, walking inside. She climbed up onto her bed and opened her laptop. "What movie do we want to watch?" She asked, getting into Netflix.

Lin took his earbuds out and closed the door.

Elena walked over by the bed and and took her earbuds out, throwing him by her bag. Which I still need to unpack, she thought to herself. "Um, I don't care." She replied.
