Ashton chuckled a bit when Alice did once more, again thinking it was very cute when she did. He then nodded a little as she spoke - well, she had a point there, he supposed. There really probably wasn't much one could do when they were confined to a hospital room, all things considered. "Ah, alright," he responded, a slight frown forming on his own lips when he noticed Alice starting to frown, herself. Really, he felt awful for her - just everything that had happened to her earlier that day, he couldn't imagine how scary it had been for her to be in that position. Heck, it had given him a good scare, so to be the one who was actually dealing with that - well, it was definitely far from a pleasant feeling, obviously. And now she had to stay in this hospital, one place most probably would prefer not to spend their time at, for usually pretty obvious reasons. He bit his lip and glanced down for a moment, not really knowing what else there was to say at the time.

Ava allowed a smile to curve up into her cheeks as she responded, "You're welcome." She allowed the smile to grow a bit more when Luke laughed - gosh, his laugh was really adorable, she thought. She messed with the hem of her pajama shirt a bit when he remained silent for a moment, after he had stopped laughing. Soon, however, he spoke once more. "Hm?" she said, tilting her head to the side just a little bit. Upon hearing his question, she smiled softly and nodded a little. "Of course I can," she responded as she rose to her feet, seeing that she had just been sitting there on the floor by her bed this entire time.

(I'm so sorry these are kind of crappy/short. \: It's like 4 AM here, right now, and I've got a bit of wb...>.<;)

alice let out a soft sigh as she looked over at ashton again. she realized that she was still holding his hand, but again, decided not to pull away. the feeling of his fingers between hers was comforting, and she needed every bit of comfort she could get, seeing as she was honestly kind of terrified at that point in time. being in the hospital was scary; at least, it was to alice. her shaking had almost stopped, but her hands were still trembling slightly, just because of how nervous she was. the brunette waited until her brown eyes had met ashton's hazel ones to speak. "are you, um, okay?" she asked, giving his hand a weak squeeze, due to the fact that she didn't have much energy. he must have been pretty stressed out, having to deal with alice's asthma attack and everything.

luke smiled in the dark of his bedroom. "yeah?" he asked in slight disbelief. "o-okay, cool. i'll, um, text you my address." the blonde grinned stupidly down at his screen as he typed in his address before sending it to ava. he pressed the phone to his ear again. "okay, it sent," he said, getting up with a small yawn and shuffling into the bathroom down the hall. as he turned on the light, he let out a small groan, his eyes turning to squinty slits. "are you sure your parents are okay with it?" the blonde asked, frowning at his reflection in the bathroom mirror. his dirty blonde hair was flat, and hung over her forehead, just above his eyes. there was some blood still on his lip, which he wiped off with a wet washcloth. he'd probably take his piercing out for a while so that it could heal.

Kayla finished making her cup if coffee and went to sit down at the table next to James. she took a sip and thought about what to say. "So James, I hardly know anything about you but for all I know you could be a serial killer." She made a weak attempt at making a joke but thought about how she might have made things more awkward than they already were. Kind of. She pushed some of her damp hair behind her ear.

(Hey, guys c: So, I might be busy - as I have been lately, actually - and will have to be on mobile sometimes if so, these next couple of weeks, I'm guessing. I'm sorry if replies are short and/or are not all that great ;-; Just thought I'd let you guys know, though - I'll do my best when I can hop on and actually have time to reply, and heck, I might not even be as busy as expected, but just in case, well, yeah x3 Don't wanna leave y'all in the dark and disappear or just not have great replies without explaining why, when possible ^~^;)

James glanced over at Kayla as she sat next to him at the table, her freshly brewed cup of coffee in hand. A small chuckle slipped past his lips as she made the joke - then again, it really wasn't hard to make him laugh. Even silly, predictable little puns would make the blonde boy laugh, honestly. "Alright, granted - though, I assure you, I'm not," he responded with a smile, though he obviously knew she had been joking despite the comment he made in response. "I'm an open book - is there anything, in particular, that you would like to know?" he then added with a small shrug. Really, he had nothing to hide, so he wasn't too concerned about sharing anything.

Ashton noticed that Alice wasn't shaking quite so much, now, at least. Well, she was still shaking a little bit, of course, but she was definitely not quite as shaky as she seemed to be just a little while ago. He hoped she was getting warmer, or feeling better in some way - whatever way she really could be, really, upon making this observation. Her gaze suddenly made contact with his, and after she asked if he was okay, he just nodded a little. "Yeah, I'm alright," he responded with a small, reassuring smile. He would've asked her the same thing, but he had already asked her that and if she needed anything so many times that he thought he sounded like a broken record, and didn't want to just end up annoying her by repeating himself far too much.

"Yeah, of course," Ava responded with a smile and a nod as she made her way over to her closet. She started rummaging through her clothes, as Luke texted her his address, in search of a light jacket. Sure, it was summer and all, but she still got chilled some nights, especially if she went outside. It just depended on the weather, usually, of course. As soon as he told her that the address had been sent, she smiled again and politely said, "Alright, cool. Thank you, I'll be there soon." Finally, her fingers brushed up against the thin cotton fabric, then removed the periwinkle colored article of clothing from the hanger. She pulled it on over her pajama shirt - a white Life is Good brand v-neck with a small pocket, donning a black outline of a coffee cup and complete with the words, "Love today," coming out of it like steam. At the mention of her parents, she bit her lip and frowned slightly. She hadn't thought about that. Honestly, she knew her dad would be completely against it, and her mother wouldn't be too thrilled about the idea, either, even if she seemed to approve of Luke when she ran into them earlier that day. Then again, considering the circumstances, she supposed her mom might have been alright with it. Might. "I'm not sure, I guess - I mean, my mom, yeah, maybe..." she responded, allowing her voice to trail off a bit as a slightly nervous chuckle slipped past her lips. That being said, her father was actually out on a week-long business trip, at the moment...perhaps she would be alright since it was just mom, then. Usually, the woman was much more understanding and easygoing about this sort of thing than her father was.

alice nodded a little, pursing her lips. she waited a few seconds before she spoke again, looking up at ashton somewhat seriously. "i'm really sorry if this is weird. i just don't know what to say because nothing like this has ever happened to me before. you saved my life. do you realize that? if it weren't for you, i could be dead by now. and i'm sitting in a hospital bed, and you're here, and i'm holding your hand, and we're both alive, and that's pretty great." she stopped rambling, somewhat out of breath. she wasn't making much sense, but she was being honest. ashton was the one who'd kept her calm while he called the ambulance. he didn't have to, and he also didn't have to stay with her afterward, but he did, and after only knowing alice for one day.

luke stopped, letting out a soft sigh. "well, ava, i don't want to get you in trouble," he murmured, leaning against the bathroom counter as he spoke. leaving in the middle of the night to go to some boy's house sounded like a pretty bad idea when your parents didn't know who the boy was or why he'd invited you over at, what, 1 am? luke quickly checked the time. 1:04 am. after a minute of hesitation, luke released a deep breath. "only come if you're sure that they're okay with it, alright?" he told her, combing through the blonde fringe on his forehead with his fingers. "and don't worry about what you look like."

Kayla thought for a moment before opening her mouth so speak. "How old are you?" She asked. She herself had just turned 17 a few days before her school let out a week ago. She took another sip of her coffee realizing how addicted to coffee she was. She almost always had a cup in her hand or near her.

((Sorry if my replied are really bad as well. It's the end of the year so teachers think it's a good idea to throw all their work at us last minuet I also have a lot to do to get ready for high school so that's why I haven't been on as much.))
