This is your chance, the voice in his head told him. Sucking up some courage, Aaron walked out of Scorpio's stall, closed it, then walked over to Ashley. He cleared his throat slightly, and then said, "Um, I know I'm new and everything, but, if you wanted any help finding your horse, I could help you. I don't know. Maybe, uh, go with your or something...?"


Evelyn

Smiling, Evelyn turned and started off. "They're around here somewhere, probably. Maybe if we're lucky, we'll run into someone who knows the place."

She looked over at Aaron "thank you, I think I might know where she is at, but I'm not sure."

Trevor's phone buzzed in his pocket and he looked at the text. He replied 'Yes, sir. But your boy's causing problems. There's only so much I can do to discipline him. Maybe you can talk with him when you return. I'll take care of things here for now. Everyone's just trying to settle in at the moment. Don't worry, sir.'

((Unfortunately I have to log off for the night. Please don't go too far without me. Trevor is idle. Silvereil does have permission to imply within narrative that Trevor showed Evelyn and Amber to the cabins if they want to.))

Cool. So now the kind of hard part was over. At least the part that made him most nervous. Aaron nodded and replied, "All right. Maybe you could bring something she likes to eat as well. I mean, she might catch the scent of it and come to you if you're in the right place. Uh, do you want to go now?" He glanced outside and pulled his hands out of his pockets as he changed position.

He grumbled under his breath then texted back "i'm sorry he is being a pain. Put him to work or something, do what you need to do to get him to listen."

"I don't know what to use to get her to come to me, but I think she won't leave the spot that she is in." She glanced around "I am hoping that she will be over at the apple trees, whenever she gets out she always goes over there."

Aaron nodded yet again. "Sounds like a pretty good start." He tried thinking of things that the mare might like to eat. Bob was a big sucker for sugar cubes, though he tried to avoid feeding the stallion those. He kind of goes on sugar highs each time he gets them, at least for a little. Scorpio and Sorreya both liked apples and carrots. "All right. Let's try the spot you think she might be at. Maybe bring a few apple slices or carrots just in case?"

She nodded her head "okay, I will grab a few things out of the barn then we can go and look." Without waiting for a reply, she rushed off to the barn to grab a lead rope and some apples.
